Jay Sekulow confirms Trump’s defense team will present from 10am-1pm tomorrow.

He said it was the Senate’s decision, not theirs, to shorten tomorrow’s session, and that the change was not the result of Trump’s complaints about TV ratings being worse on a Saturday

In making their "Obstruction of Congress" case the DIMS miss the point...

They ASSUME that the Courts will uphold their demands.. eventually, it's just that it would take too long.

They ignore the fact (pretend to not know) that Trump has a sound case in invoking "Executive Privilege" and that the Courts will DENY Congress's illegitimate demands for witnesses (and documents)

I was just watching a Rudy Giuliani interview. He's about to make public his findings
on corruption in Ukraine, Biden corruption, State Dept corruption and so on.
He says people are wanting to kill him. One of the Ukrainian persons involved has already
been poisoned with mercury.

I hope Giuliani does have valid evidence, and that law enforcement act on it.
Unfortunately, despite all the evidence of corruption and deep state crimes... nobody seems to get investigated, let alone indicted.

That is.. since Trump obstructed the Congress Impeachment Investigation.. they could not do an investigation to show any wrongdoing to Impeach.

That means that the House were unable to gather evidence on Trump. So... why are we here??

I was disappointed in Sekulow as I watched live... only because I know he can do a lot better than that. He was still OK... I got the points he was making... but I am not sure he would get a hit with somebody already anti?
I thought the team as a whole certainly scored.. and demolished the Dim case already. I even wondered if many Dim Senators would vote to acquit? However I got a reality check when I saw Schiff and Naddler do a presser after today's hearing. They remain willfully corrupt and deceitful.. and Schumer and a couple of Dim Senators remain delusional... Still claim they just need Witnesses and documents?


I am listening to a replay of Trump Team....
One point stressed is that Ukraine did not KNOW about a pause in aid at time of Phone call. Evidence is that Ukraine became aware only after a Politico article... August 28th.
That is good evidence that there was no "quid pro quo".
In addition... I wonder WHO leaked the info to Politico? Was that part of the plot.


Replaying Patrick Philbin talking about "Whistleblower". OFFICIALLY the Trump legal team know nothing about whistleblower, specifically what Atkinson testimony revealed in the House Bunker, because Schiff is hiding that transcript. However... at least some on Trump legal side were in the Bunker and KNOW what Atkinson said.
MAYBE Senators could include QUESTIONS about Atkinson testimony, and “The Whistleblower”

CLEARLY just talk (at the time) since she remained as Ambassador for 14 months

On the recording, it appears the two Giuliani associates ( Parnas and Fruman) are telling Trump that the U.S. ambassador has been bad-mouthing him, which leads directly to the apparent remarks by the president. The recording was made by Fruman, according to sources familiar with the tape.

The media spin seems to be focusing on this proving that Trump knew Parnas? Meeting him at a fundraiser like this is kinda what we know already.

I had a look at some MSNBC clips... just for fun

One thing I noted was a clip that Shiffty played of Trump saying...

"I have article 2 as President I can do whatever I want"



Ends there and looks bad (kinda), but if you look at the clip in context.. Trump was explaining that he COULD have shut Mueller down... but he didn't. He let it run and it found NO COLLUSION

Debunking claim Bill Clinton turned over 90,000 docs (voluntarily) during his impeachment

Bill Clinton REFUSED to hand over documents to Ken Star as special prosecutor. They were subpoenaed and Clinton refused, the subpoena went through courts, and litigated over long time (4 and a half years), and then were eventually handed over to Star and then provided to Senate.

IF people want to compare, then the comparison should be Star investigation V Mueller investigation. TRUMP handed over MILLIONS of pages to Mueller. VOLUNTARILY. Without delays. Trump never invoked executive privilege (unlike Clinton)

BESIDES.... the KEY evidence document was the Transcript.
TRUMP DECLASSIFIED that and released it despite the fact that it was classified and could NOT have been compelled by Subpoena.

I don't suppose it will happen... but Trumps Lawyers shoul play this is Senate At least the first quarter of it... I am serious..

Democrats demand Bolton testimony after report his book says Trump tied Ukraine aid to Biden probe

The reported account in an unpublished manuscript by the former national security adviser counters the White House's defense of the president.

WASHINGTON — Democrats stepped up their calls Sunday night for former national security adviser John Bolton to testify at President Donald Trump's impeachment trial after an explosive report alleged that in his unpublished book, he said Trump personally tied Ukraine aid to an investigation of the Bidens — an account that conflicts with the president's.

"John Bolton has the evidence," tweeted Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y.

According to the manuscript, as reported by The New York Times on Sunday night, Trump told Bolton that nearly $400 million in aid to Ukraine would not be released until it offered assistance with investigations of Democratic targets, including former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter.

NBC News has not seen a copy of the manuscript or verified the report, which cited multiple sources familiar with Bolton's account.
