Any attack on an Embassy should be considered as an attempt to Murder The Ambassador (and others). Benghazi confirmed that. Killing a KNOWN terrorist in retaliation makes sense to me.

I do think that over time US should get out of these Sh*t-hole countries, and leave them to kill each other (as they always have), but while US has people and assets there the savages need to know that there will be heavy consequences if they are silly enough to attack.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Air strikes targeting Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces umbrella grouping of Iran-backed Shi’ite militias near camp Taji north of Baghdad have killed six people and critically wounded three, an Iraqi army source said late on Friday.

Two of the three vehicles making up a militia convoy were found burned, the source said, as well as six burned corpses. The strikes took place at 1:12 am local time, he said.

Iraqi Militia Leader May be Among Six Killed in Another U.S. Drone Strike in Baghdad

Six members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, an official Iraqi militia organization with ties to Iran, were killed in another U.S. drone strike in northern Baghdad on Friday, multiple officials told Newsweek. The strike comes one day after President Donald Trump approved an operation that killed an elite Iranian general.

Pentagon officials told Newsweek Friday evening the operation was targeting Imam Ali Brigades with a "high probability" the strike resulted in the death of its leader, Shubul al-Zaidi. The U.S. operation that targeted Zaidi was a part of the same strategy Trump approved Thursday morning, which killed Iranian Revolutionary Guard Quds Force commander Major General Qassem Soleimani.

Speaking Friday from his Florida resort in Mar-a-Lago, Trump said that the strike that killed Soleimani was ordered "to stop a war" and prevent attacks on American personnel.

The Iraqi military and the US-led coalition have denied that a US air strike had taken place on a medical convoy in Taji, north of Baghdad, afrer reports emerged that an attack killed at least six people.

Earlier on Saturday, Iraq's state television said an attack took place along Taji Road and that it was targeting a convoy of an Iran-backed militia, but later, Iraq's military denied the reports.

The US-led coalition fighting the ISIL (ISIS) group said on Saturday it did not conduct air strikes near Camp Taji.

"FACT: the coalition @cjtfoir did not conduct airstrikes near Camp Taji (north of Baghdad) in recent days," a spokesman said on Twitter.

Missiles fired after Iranian general Qassim Soleimani's body paraded through Baghdad

A volley of missiles appeared to target the US’s embassy and one of its bases in Iraq on Saturday night, sparking fears an Iran-backed militia had begun taking revenge for the killing of its commander and Iran’s top general.

A Katusya rocket struck inside the Green Zone close to the American mission in Baghdad, followed minutes later by a two rockets 40 miles away on al-Balad airbase, which houses US Air Force trainers.

Three Iraqi military personnel were reported to have been injured in the second assault.

Katib Hizbollah militia, which operates under the PMF, issued a call last night for Iraqi security forces to "move away from American bases by a distance of no less than 1km," starting from Sunday evening, suggesting the attacks would continue.
