As discussed previously... the smart money is on Debra S. Nelson being appointed now:

I just hope she's fair and honest and free from political strings.

The politics seem to be rife.... but sanity seems to have shone through a little at least

Lester isn't a young man - a beginner. Surely he knows ENOUGH not to make what could be interpreted as "biased comments" about a case he is sitting on?
R - that is what makes me think it possibly could be deliberate ?

And - this case might very well be too HOT to handle? :29

I know that lawyers have been shot ... and Judges too. This is a very HOT case. I wouldn't want it!

I wonder if Judge Lester will take advantage of his order of disqualification to make a few parting comments?

Judge Strickland did that in the Casey Anthony case.. he made his famous "The irony is rich" comment about Baez.

I have been surprised that Judges do opine in there written orders... before following the KC case I imagined they would stick to concise legal statements.

Back to the bushes? What happened to the tree, dog poop stand, utility box, tree roots? So many choices...what about the obvious, TM sucker punched GZ, knocked him to the ground, got on top of him, beat his head into the cement...oh my, does that make too much sense? And, if GZ did fall into the bushes, where was TM while GZ was wrestling with the bushes? Standing there and laughing? We know he didn't run home for safety because...wait for it...TM had the right to be wherever he wanted!

Exactly. I don't know what made Mr. Martin behave the way he did but he was the one who escalated the incident. He was obviously in a downward spiral and his parents were more fixated on their own needs than parenting.

As sad as it is, I would have shot too at that point. You can't keep waiting or else it would be too late.

The thing that cracks me up if how people minimize Mr. Zimmerman's injuries while exaggerating the injuries the "skateboarder" received in California. The common thing is you have Crump manipulating the facts in order to get a payday. LOL

That is one "I told you so" to me :21

Thank God. He was so blatantly biased that it was almost becoming a joke.

I'm just surprised he was willing to damage his reputation by not doing the right thing when he was asked to recuse himself.

Bye Bye Lester… Zimmerman Judge Removed By Appeals Court Decision For Bias in Zimmerman Rulings
Posted on August 29, 2012 by sundancecracker

The appellate court has agreed with defense attorney Mark O’Mara, and the accused George Zimmerman, that Judge Kenneth Lester is prejudiced in his rulings against Zimmerman and that George Zimmerman has reason to believe he is unable to receive a fair trial. Subsequently Ken Lester has been removed.

Nah.... It's risky.. but I figure if I balance out "Conservative Tree House" with "TalkLeft" I can get away with it...

Funny thing is ...the TRUTH and the evidence are seen the same by both ends of the political spectrum... it is only in the Twlight Zone Bubble that they don't get it :12

If the Judge is familiar with cases involving children/teens... I guess she will be well aware of the warning signs of... school truancy, repeated suspensions, violence and destruction of property, involvement in petty crime and drug use. I imagine she might well question why a youth already having shown many warning signs in his behaviour was abandoned to his own devices?

One of the judges mentioned is retired Judge O.H. Eaton. He was on the Board of Directors of the Innocence Project of Florida in 2011.

A HYPOTHETICAL

I am NOT saying this happened... it's just a hypothetical (for the sake of an argument)

As "TM supporters" imagine......

What if.......

TM was scared seeing GZ sitting in his truck (heaven knows why)... and runs towards Brandi's home... somehow GZ manages to get out of his truck, and run after TM, and catch up to him just south of the "T" (where the body ended up). It already seems farcical that GZ could catch up to young (football playing) teen with a head start so soon... but lets imagine that happened.
GZ grabs TM and says "WTF are you doing here punk?" A fight ensues (started by GZ).
We have to accept that eventually GZ ends up on his back, with a bleeding nose (only a bit broken), with TM on top of him (ALL the witnesses and evidence confirms that)...... but the confrontation was GZ's fault as people want to imagine.

GZ would still be entitled to use deadly force if he feared serious injury.

It is STILL simple self defence that from that position GZ shot TM.

Hi LLL :28
How's things over in the Twilight Zone?
What are they "working on" today? Found any holly bushes? More voices? Has the Cockatoo been arrested?

Yes exactly right :24

GZ had no authority to detain TM (other than normal citizen rights)... and he didn't.

You missed the POINT of the hypothetical.... even if he had attempted to detain TM (and he didn't) he would still be justified in using lethal force. Once things went pear-shaped and he was on his back being beaten.
