As an admirer of USA, but from an outside perspective, the Dems seem to have gone NUTS 
I understand the "Two Party" political system in USA.. it's not too dissimilar in other countries. Broadly speaking a LEFT and a RIGHT party, but neither too far from the center. However, the Dems appear to have gone way beyond that (stable) set-up. It seems undeniable that the Dems have lurched to the left, but more than that, Trump Derangement Syndrome is real and very powerful. It is overwhelming the Dems to the point where their hate of Trump is more powerful than any drive to achieve success and growth for the Nation. Several have (unironically) hoped for an economic recession and disasters of all sorts. They would welcome severe weather, war, terror etc. so long as it could be blamed on Trump and weaken his popularity.
This "Impeachment" farce seen from the outside is CRAZY. It makes sense to have checks and balances and a way to remove a President in EXTREME circumstances, but not for a "phone call" which at very WORST was an inducement and a suggestion to investigate. To look for evidence.. NOT MAKE DIRT UP... as the DNC and Hillary did... WITH UKRAINE!! (you can't make this stuff up). I have read the "transcript" and it certainly does NOT explicitly contain "quid pro quo" type coercive suggestions. Even with a FANCIFUL reading, adding the prejudices of the reader to "read between the lines", there is nothing there. But, as I have said, even if there was a "there there".. it was a suggestion that NEVER HAPPENED!
YOU CAN NOT seriously remove a President from office for something that (to a fanciful and biased observer - Adam Schiff) only MIGHT have happened, and been a bad thing. Even then, not very bad, if Ukrainians had just investigated and found real evidence of corruption (Bidens involved or not) rather than MADE SHIT UP as the whole DNC/Hillary/Deep State Fake Dossier/Muh Russia coup attempt did.
Surely the calls for this (and any) impeachment need to be BI-PARTISAN as a first pre-requisite, else by definition it is a "Political hit job". If a President is arguably guilty of actions serious enough to warrant removal from office, then it would be seen (and agree to) by Congressmen and Senators on both sides (at least some on each side). THAT is surely a check in and of itself.. to prevent one party getting control of the House (Legislature) and wielding that power to impose their will on a Separate branch of Government (Executive). Surely that (as we have now) can only happen if the House is taken over by an Unconstitutional Mob? (Democrats 2019)
PS The Republicans have a few issues as well.. and certainly the "Bureaucracy" doI have been saying since Trump was inaugurated that SOMEBODY from the corrupt Dim side, deep state, intelligence agencies SHOULD BE INDICTED.. anybody would have done to start.. with a continuous stream to follow, maybe getting to the bigger fish later. The fact that NOBODY was indicted (not even the many crooks involved with Hillary email server) allowed libtards to push the notion that
"it's all a right wing/Fox News Conspiracy theory".
I gave up trying to debate libtards before the election...and used the line..
"Just you wait until Trump gets into office and the arrests start"But NOTHING has happened!!! The Dims are emboldened.
IF there had been a few arrests we would not have this Impeachment charade now... we likely would not have had Muelller either.. and all the Spy-gate stuff that went on after the election of Trump.
