I get the feeling that ALL corruption among the Washington rats will be linked ultimately to…. The Clintons. If nothing else… widespread use of the Clinton Foundation to launder money. I see the Clintons as analogous to “The Godfather”… with “Capos” and “buffer” operatives used to distance them from “The wet work”… but a percentage flowing their way from all the criminal schemes.

I am coming around to thinking that Mueller may well end up investigating Democrats… just as well let him carry on. He may well STOP of his own volition rather than implicate Clinton etc.. or he may even have to start indicting the real criminals.
The worst that can happen is a few Trump staff get swept up…. but I doubt that… and if they do…. Trump can always dish out the odd pardon after Mueller is done.

It is Naive to imagine that "Sessions has got this"

I think it is "wishful thinking"... self-deception... delusion... to imagine that there are already any sort of INVESTIGATIONS of Hillary Clinton underway.
Either by Mueller expanding/redirecting his Trump-Russia witch hunt, or separate investigations by DOJ/FBI.

If there were such investigations, they would necessarily need to be large, to cover Uranium 1/Clinton Foundation/Russian Dossier/primary rigging/emails (even back to Benghazi, or even further back in the Clinton CCV (Crime Curriculum Vitae)). In which case there would be scores (if not 100's) of FBI agents, lawyers etc dedicated to this "matter"... maybe a Grand Jury already, interviewing Hillary and associates..... and there isn't! If there was, I am sure there would be LEAKS to that effect.

All we have is regular "smoking gun" document snippets/investigator/press reports. Bombshells!! Breathless reports/legal commentators boldly announcing that "this is it"... the end for Hillary is Nigh!! ... BUT.... NO INVESTIGATION by anybody connected to law enforcement!!

There will NOT be any proper INVESTIGATION of Crooked Hillary until a PROPER AG takes over the DOJ... to initiate a major FBI investigation and/or a Special Prosecutor is appointed and properly directed to investigate Hillary.... and beyond (eg Obama)

I am appalled that STILL Dims and liberal media CONTINUE to state as a fact that “Russians hacked the DNC” and “Russians Hacked Podesta”.

It is NOT proven in either instance and almost certainly NOT TRUE!! If there was ANY evidence of that it would have BEEN LEAKED!!! Shouted from the rooftops!

It is a Foundation of the entire False Narrative as still told by Dims and liberal media. Even Right leaning media “go along with it”… and never push back.

The FBI “Russian collusion” false narrative INVESTIGATION was founded on the Peegate document apparently…. not based on any evidence of “Russian hacking”. In fact Comey stated that FBI started investigation into “Muh Russians” in late July… as the DNC emails were published… but before anybody had a clue how the emails were obtained (copied)
Podesta emails were published by Wikileaks in October and November 2016…. 3 months AFTER FBI used the peegate document as an excuse to investigate Trump-Russia.

The co-founder of Fusion GPS, the firm behind the unverified Trump dossier, met with a Russian lawyer before and after a key meeting she had last year with Trump’s son, Fox News has learned. The contacts shed new light on how closely tied the firm was to Russian interests, at a time when it was financing research to discredit then-candidate Donald Trump.

The opposition research firm has faced renewed scrutiny after litigation revealed that the DNC and Hillary Clinton’s campaign paid for that research. Congressional Republicans have since questioned whether that politically financed research contributed to the FBI’s investigation of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign – making Fusion’s 2016 contacts with Russian interests all the more relevant.

The June 2016 Trump Tower meeting involving Donald Trump Jr. and Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya occurred during a critical period. At that time, Fox News has learned that bank records show Fusion GPS was paid by a law firm for work on behalf of a Kremlin-linked oligarch while paying a former British spy Christopher Steele to dig up dirt on Trump through his Russian contacts.

But hours before the Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016, Fusion co-founder and ex-Wall Street Journal reporter Glenn Simpson was with Veselnitskaya in a Manhattan federal courtroom, a confidential source told Fox News. Court records reviewed by Fox News, email correspondence and published reports corroborate the pair’s presence together. The source told Fox News they also were together after the Trump Tower meeting.

Simpson’s presence with Veselnitskaya during this critical week in June -- together with revelations about Fusion’s simultaneous financial ties to the DNC, Clinton campaign and Russian interests -- raise new questions about the company’s role in the 2016 election.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is investigating the Trump Tower meeting as part of his probe of Russian interference in last year’s election.

I was just about to ask you if you've heard anything about sealed indictments.

I've had company today and just now getting to looking at some news. I HATE this kind of stuff. So many sources saying this and that, and too many peeps on twitter that I usually don't take their "inside knowledge" seriously.

I read last night about the 50 filed in Virginia yesterday.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The same political research firm that prepared a dossier on Trump campaign ties to Russia had unrelated information on Clinton Foundation donors that a Russian lawyer obtained and offered to President Donald Trump’s eldest son last year, three sources familiar with the matter said.

The White House and Republican lawmakers have attacked the firm, Fusion GPS, over the dossier compiled by a former British spy that is central to investigations in Congress and by a special counsel into conclusions by U.S. spy agencies that Moscow interfered in the 2016 presidential election and wanted to help Trump win.

The sources told Reuters that the negative information that Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya wanted to give to Republican Trump’s campaign at a June 2016 meeting in New York had been dug up by Fusion GPS in an unrelated investigation.

Academic at heart of Clinton 'dirt' claim vanishes, leaving trail of questions

(CNN) Joseph Mifsud, the Maltese academic suspected of being a link between the Trump campaign and Russian officials, was once a regular on the foreign policy circuit, attending conferences the world over.
Now, after being identified as a key figure in the US special counsel investigation into Russian influence over the 2016 US presidential election, Mifsud has gone to ground.
Last Thursday he disappeared from the private university in Rome where he teaches. Repeated attempts to reach him since have been unsuccessful, though he appears to have read some messages from CNN.

But more details are emerging of the background and contacts of the man who emerged last week as "the professor" in court filings relating to charges brought against former Trump aide George Papadopoulos.
In the US affidavit, Papadopoulos claims Mifsued -- referred to as "Foreign Contact 1" -- told him in April 2016 that the Russians had "thousands of emails" relating to Hillary Clinton.

An associate also told CNN that he repeatedly bragged about how Moscow had "compromising material" on the Clinton campaign in spring 2016, contradicting Mifsud's assertion that he never talked about Russian "dirt" on the Democratic presidential bid.
At that time, according to US officials and independent analysts, Russian agencies or proxies were rummaging around the stolen emails of both the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. The intrusion would not become public for several months.
The associate, who spoke to CNN at length, also said that Mifsud told him that he had been interviewed by the FBI while on a visit to the US earlier this year. That chimes with Mifsud's own account -- in an interview last week with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, he refers to a discussion with the FBI.

I've wondered what came of Glenn Simpson's testimony with the House Intel Committee on Wednesday. Just looked and seems like they met for three hours and attorneys agreed that Simpson would be interviewed NEXT week, with restrictions, after withdrawing the subpoena.

The committee will determine if the transcript will be released, according to Simpson’s lawyer.
