You're right!
It's "Pioneer Cemetery Confederate Monument" in downtown, usually called Pioneer Plaza on normal days.
There is a civil war era cemetery next to it. That's where the fight happened and people won't leave. Yelling "stand your ground".
I've been trying to think what in the past I can equate this to, and there's nothing. I mean, it's not like there are "Whites Only" drinking fountains all over the place, those are probably the last thing I remember about the civil rights period.
I do believe all this since the election has NOTHING to do with statues or Nazis. If it is about racism, they are repeating the same 'ole protest thing, getting the same results and nothing resolved.
And to think this behavior is being taught in universities.
