WICKET - Guptill 4(16) SR 25.0

I'd like to see a high scoring game (as always).

New Zealand 17/1 (4.3 ov) RR 3.77

Well that about wraps it up for NZ... of course they could always pin their hopes on Taylor :roll

IF SA innings is to be exciting... they probably need to make the target in just 40 overs?

New Zealand 42/2 (11.0 ov) RR 3.81

ETA
ANOTHER wicket :doh
Brownlie 24 (37) SR 64.86

New Zealand 42/3 (11.3 ov) RR 3.65

Well, there goes that prediction they had at the beginning, of 290. :roll

This has become a bit stressful.

I think watching Taylor/Guptill partnership the other night made me realize how important one is.
There's a competitiveness connected to it. Right?

Taylor needs a partner right now. :roll

WICKET - Ronchi 8 (20) SR 40.0

After 20 overs NZ 72/5, 3x20 over rule ====> Predict final score 216 (I doubt that)

2x30 Over rule

End of over 30 New Zealand 107/6 (RR: 3.56) ====> Predict final score 214

The proviso is "with wickets in hand"

The prediction ASSUMES they last 50 overs. With 6 wickets down, that is not certain

NZ all out - FAILED to last 50 overs

Can you say "collapse"?

New Zealand 149/10 (41.1 ov) RR 3.61

Target for SA 150
Req. RR 3.0
Even more than usual I think SA need to do this in under 40 overs Req. RR 3.75
Maybe in 30 overs? Req. RR 5.0
20 overs? at RR 7.5

INNINGS BREAK

The problem with a low scoring game and small target to chase.. is that chasing sides tend to piss about.. like SA is doing now!! :wall

The pitch is fine.. the NZ bowlers are nothing special... SA would have scored twice as many runs by now if they were chasing 300+ Instead the batsmen are dibbing and dabbing... getting their eye in?

And...... WICKET... Amala out. So much for getting his eye in :roll

New Zealand 149 (41.1 ov) RR 3.61
South Africa 35/2 (11.5 ov) RR 2.95

South Africa require another 115 runs with 8 wickets and 38.1 overs remaining

These sides can EASILY score 150 in a T20 game..... (with some risk of being bowled out).... it should be easy to do it in 30 overs.. 40 child's play.

They just need to get on with it... it should not take more than 30 overs :cool

This game has been a bit boring.

NZ were pathetic with the bat....put in the worst ODI innings I have seen in a long time. SA should have rubbed it in from the outset and taken no more than 25 overs to win the game.

SA have bucked there ideas up a bit now :cool

Commentators qualify as #fakenews they have been talking crap about NZ's chances of winning this :roll

What a pitiful showing on both sides, but more so by NZ of course.
Oh well, gotta take the bad with the good matches.

Thanks for the color commentary, Rumpole. ;)
