Looks like a great wicket to bat on... it figures a side would opt to bat first.. unless maybe they feel that their team does best when chasing a target? It does come down to individual team (captain's) choice when the wicket is a typical ODI pitch.. good for batting.

They do need to score more than 200 at the very least.... 250 would be better.

I WANT SL to do really well.. score a big total.

I am NOT being disloyal to NZ because I would like to see them better the target... I just want a big target so that several NZ batsmen have to bat with flair from the outset of the NZ innings.

Makes sense to me.

It makes for a more exciting game if it is not handed to them by Sri Lanka.
I hope SL score big too! Stretch out the game.

That means 4- 5 runs per over now, but with few wickets lost.. so that they can launch and score more like 10 per over at the end.. and so up the overall run rate to 6 or more. That is scoring a total of 300+
