Support group forms for fired beach officer

"The Volusia County beach officer fired over his messages and Facebook comments about Trayvon Martin has support from a growing number of people who say the firing violated his First Amendment rights and unfairly ended the career of a good officer."

"What’s coming next: some form of protest against the “cowardly damn politicians that don’t want to stand up against race baiters,” organizer Greg Gimbert said Saturday."

Pushback time! I believe this officer will appeal his firing and it's good to see others publicly taking his side.

I "liked" the page at the support facebook and left a comment there with the pseudonym of "Naomi Blue" (my alter ego).

Hello,
I've been lurking around for a while and enjoying reading the wonderful discussions, and I'm going to try to take part now and then. :28

Just a few things I noticed about the "I left my job over a computer-desktop hoodie" story:
1) Which "image of a hoodie"? She talks about "This image had sprung up on the Internet", but doesn't describe which one and some are quite aggressive in character.
2) I doubt that the Zimmerman family can afford much time to reflect on the "dreams and goals and loving parents" of TM, since those parents have contributed to and continue to demand the complete destruction of George and his family. (Not very loving, IMHO.)
3) I would be surprised if the woman didn't file some kind of discrimination complaint against her boss and co-workers. I also expect she thinks her article will leverage another job for her.
4) It took her a year and a half to decide to "do something"? Give us all a break. Where was she all that time, Mars?

The hoodie photo referred to is undoubtedly the photo-shopped propaganda pic.. part of the imprinting false narrative scheme.

The photos that needs to be promoted at every opportunity, to try and counter the imprinting, are those of the REAL TM... if it is to be a "hoodie photo" then the real one from 7-11.

First of all:

We're so glad to have you posting with us!

Second: :give Thanks for distracting Rumpole so my :OT posts were overlooked. Shhhh... :Q26 (And I'm not noticing those blown margins, either.) :Q26

Finally: Excellent comments, thanks! She doesn't specify which hoodie photo. In fact, to my reading (and if IIRC), she tries to allude to it being just the garment, with no one in it. However, if I had to bet, I'd bet it was the lightened, air-brushed/photoshopped, photo of TM™ in a white or very light gray hoodie. A lot of people use that one as an avatar, and it's fairly common around the interwebs.

Pro-tip: You really don't want to get me started on the Trayparents™ :NN20 but I'll say this much: I agree with what your wrote, and your words were much kinder to them than mine.

Yes, the look-at-me just drips from her writing. She may very well expect to become and world renowned racial pundit through her efforts! :Gslap As for Mars, you may be onto something. I've often wondered where the Trayborg™ originated... Mars would explain a lot. ;)

Thanks for posting, Rumpole. Not clicking any Traymom™ links that I can avoid. It is just revolting that she is given a platform and allowed to pontificate on subjects she knows little to nothing about (like her son, for example), and to pretend it's related somehow to her thug son viciously attacking an innocent civilian who was doing nothing wrong, and was no danger to the violent monster she (didn't) raise(d).

Sue, I think we're all hoping you'll start finding that post button without any effort very quickly. RT members are all hand-picked by Rumpole, so it's a great, smart group. I don't know how I made the cut - but I'm glad I did. :D

If you have any troubles at all, please send a pm to me; you'll see the button to do that at the bottom, left, of any post by me - and there are thousands of them! Also, if you look at my sig, you'll see some other interesting links/info.

Speaking of interesting links, when you're logged in, near the top of every page, on the right side is View new links; on the left side is View active topics. I use both constantly so I don't miss things going on at RT. :)

Have fun, Sue! Glad you're here! :D

Edit Rumpole
To Add:
We have a RT Members Location Map.

Voluntary, and not precise location.. nearest city will do.
If you want a pin for your location.. ask and I will add.

I swiped this from the PJMedia article linked above. Yeah, I know because of who is being quoted, some (not pointing at you, Rumpole - at least not that you can see ;) ) may think this fits better in the political snippets thread, but I'm posting here because I feel that it appropriately describes one aspect of the injustice suffered by GZ. Please don't auto-reject the sentiment because of who is quoted!

LMK what you think - quickly! Before Rumpole moves it! :D

I agree wholeheartedly with what Ronald Reagan said. (Sure miss him in the White House.)

Rev Al sticks his big head where it doesn't belong...of course church members seem to agree with him.

Sharpton speaks at Daytona Beach church pastor's 10th anniversary

http://www.cfnews13.com/content/news/cf ... _at_d.html

Quote:
Sharpton said America is still far from achieving Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s dream of equality. He pointed to the firing of a Volusia County beach patrol officer over comments he made about Trayvon Martin on Facebook.

"A policeman wrote on Facebook calling an unarmed teenager a thug, associating with all kinds of stuff. Then they start a Facebook coalition of support after Rev. Durham and leaders here question, and they say he has First Amendment rights. He does, but so do you.

And you have the right to say if that's how you look at a young man that had never been convicted of a crime, that was unarmed, then you have the right to feel that way, but we have the right to say you should not be a police officer over our children,” Sharpton said.

:wall :wall :wall

There's a link to the video if you can stand looking at the freak of nature, never mind listening to the continued lies. Hey Rev. Al, check out the MDSD internal investigation and you'll see why Trayvon was never convicted of a crime. Oh, but you probably already know, you just don't want the sheeples to know.

I was going to make a comment, but couldn't find a place to do that.
