It has come to my attention that people do not see a lot of what gets posted at RT.

The best way to check on all the activity.. when you log on, as well as subsequently is to use the links across the top of all the pages

I need to see everything that gets posted here and I do that by clicking on "View New Posts"

That list clears if you log off, so you may prefer "View active topics" or one of the others

Anyone know if the Arias hearing is being live streamed?

Just heard there is no camera in the courtroom.

Dr. DeMarte is on Dr. Drew tonight.

Earlier this evening on another show, Jodi was looking "lovely" in her prison stripes, chains, and handcuffs with 3 heavily armed guards ready to pounce should she wind up going into one of her fogs.

PHOENIX (CBS5) - There's a chance the prosecution and the defense in the Jodi Arias trial may come to an agreement on her sentence before the retrial of penalty phase is scheduled to begin.

One of the most recent messages on her Twitter page, @jodiannarias, said, "The State rejected my third request for a plea to settle quietly and less expensively. Off to retrial we go. Sorry, taxpayers."

Maricopa County's top prosecutor said Wednesday that Arias is either not telling the truth or misinformed.

Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery said he's open to an agreement that would avoid another "mini-trial," which is how some experts describe the penalty phase.

However, Montgomery stopped short of confirming that negotiations are underway.

"I respect the job that the defense attorneys are doing on behalf of their client, and we're doing our job. And if there is a way for us to reach an agreement short of trial, I'd be open to that, but if not, then we'll wind up retrying the penalty phase," Montgomery said.

Montgomery refused to say what he would accept for an agreement.

On May 8, a jury found Arias guilty of first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander at his Mesa home. The same jury was unable to reach a decision on whether Arias should spend the rest of her life in prison or receive the death penalty.

The next hearing in the case is set for Aug. 26.

I'm amazed - are you saying that she's in prison, having been found guilty of murder, and she can still access a twitter page?

She communicates tweets by phone to someone who will post them for her. Not sure how they could stop her. I think her "friend" Donavon was doing it for her for a while but now that Jodi is a convicted felon, Donavon can't have contact with her.
I just went and looked at her twitter and someone post of for her just 2 hours ago. She is asking for people to stop sending her books. She is "maxed out". Didn't realize she could receive books in jail. She seems to be enjoying her life as a convicted murderer. Ugh. I could slap her.

IIRC, AZ will pay for her entire defense. Does anyone have a current tally for what the defense has cost?

Just read from Facebook page that Jodi had filed a motion to vacate aggravation phase of her trial. Imagine that.

Such a vicious slasher. I can really picture that insane cross-eyed face that poor Travis last looked at. In person, and in his bathroom mirror. RIP Travis...SHE is so sickening... twisted ... evil.

I guess we will know more after she is sentenced. I am curious about those negotiations in the mini trial sentencing phase. I thought if was either life or death but I have read at least one article that makes it sound like there might be other options. Is it possible that she could receive less than life?

I cannot even imagine the outrage is she gets a totally new trial.

Kak, I think inmates can receive books in jail as long as the books are mailed from the sellers, such as Amazon or Barnes & Noble. I don't think a private individual can personally mail them.

Why can't she have any contact with Donavon? Can she have contact with anyone at all?

I keeping seeing that INSANE CROSSEYED FACE she must have "worn" when slashing Travis to death.

Poor guy, should have nipped this in the bud as soon as he discovered she was nuts. OR did he try to?

I think he always gave everybody the benefit of the doubt ... and did with her too. His undoing.

And too, I think he never met such an experienced street skank, and she turned his head, like she might have with many men. Nothing normal about Jodi Ann Arias. Everything over the top - extreme DRAMA.
