I tend to agree with you on all points, mostly that juries are unpredictable. But this jury, when given a choice, has almost always opted for pushing on through. Then they asked to leave before 6 p.m.? No one seemed to be expecting them to want to leave that early, so it doesn't seem likely that family visits were scheduled, kwim? So why were they in such a rush today of all days? It could be that they'll come back in the morning, have a last discussion to make sure they're all in agreement still, then acquit.

Didn't care for O'Mara at the beginning but once the trial started he was impressive, Bernie the trayvon groupies hero turned out to be a flop. That other prosecutor that was doing the dummy demonstration looked like he was getting excited while straddling the thing.

No, if GZ isn't acquitted, the defense goes to a panel of judges who aren't crushing on the prosecution and who will read an entire case instead of just the head notes.

"Judge Alex" said he thought O'Mara should have emphasized more that reaching a compromise verdict is an abrogation of the jurors' duty. I haven't watched the closing argument yet, but from what I've read about it here and on TalkLeft, I agree. It's rather disgusting that jurors might agree to a so-called compromise of manslaughter that's nearly as bad for Zimmerman.
