Jury instructions

2:05 p.m.
Judge Nelson checks with the jurors about avoiding reports about the case and researching it. She asks them to pay attention to the instructions she is about to give - Read the jury instructions packet here.

2:02 p.m.
The prosecution and defense are back, waiting for the jury to be brought in.

Is this the longest that the TrayParents have gone without attempting to make a dramatic courtroom exit?

I won't be surprised to see them come back in 10 minutes with an acquittal.

They may wait until after dinner just to make it look good for the TrayFamily™.

Oh yeah, I heard that. They've actually done a lot of such mic-checks throughout. Didn't think anything of it. :)

(befuddled) Scheaffer predicts a quick verdict, one way or the other.

...and he wonders why someone refers to him as "befuddled."

Could you pretend to be amused at someone upsetting Scheaffer by calling him "befuddled", please? I truly thought you'd be laughing as much as I did about that. :lol

Nice, nice photo, as usual, Rumpole. I particularly like the last one because GZ looks confident, almost happy; and the weasel looks at least annoyed, maybe close to tears or trying to hold them back.

Ok, so maybe I exaggerated a bit --- nothing like the state did in closing though! ;)
