MOM is doing well... but one point I dont think he did not stress enough is that ....

So far the State has NOT put forward their theory... pre-empt the fact that what ever case they have... they have delayed for Guy's rebuttal.... point out that is a TRICK.

MOM does not get a turn after guy... have to preempt.

Again, making a scene. I don't think all of the jurors will be impressed with their suffering. I sure am not. Always trying to draw attention to themselves. Remember, they have pushed this as the "Trayvon Martin Trial", justice for Trayvon, etc. :TF

Well said. That's what it's all about - drawing attention to themselves. And also to take attention away from the clear, unmistakable truth that MOM is speaking. No doubt it was planned to try to appear to be upset/grieving, as I believe they have done in the past. TrayMom™ doesn't run out when the jury isn't there.

Such entitled people...

O’Mara asks why he had to call Tracy Martin and Serino to testify about the voice screaming for help.

He asks where the state’s expert is to counter use of force.

He says it’s the state’s burden.

He points out the claim that Zimmerman pushed the gun into Martin’s chest.

He tells them to listen to the tape of Zimmerman saying the expletive phrases.

He asks if they need the anger coming from the prosecutor rather than the defendant.

O’Mara asks for one piece of evidence that Zimmerman attacked Martin or landed one blow.

O’Mara grabs a piece of concrete and brings it over in front of the jury.

“That’s cement. That is a sidewalk and that is not an unarmed teenager,” O’Mara says.

He says the suggestion by the state that it can’t hurt someone is disgusting.

“Even if we presume Rachel Jeantel was completely accurate,” O’Mara says, adding that she said Zimmerman said “what’re you doing around here.”

He says Root’s testimony didn’t suggest the appropriate response would be to break someone’s nose.

There was ill-will, spite and anger and Zimmerman was the victim of it, O’Mara says.

He says if Martin would've survived he might've been charged with aggravated battery.

11:39 a.m.
O’Mara says they will talk for a moment about self-defense.

“He doesn’t have to think he was going to die. He does have to think he was going to be injured greatly,” he says.

Based on appearances, Zimmerman must’ve believed the danger was real, O’Mara says.

He says they should find George Zimmerman not guilty.

He shows them a poster board. One says the reasonable doubt phrase.

He shows the jury a graph shown earlier of the “self-defense burden of proof.”

He says that’s why he calls it the bizarro case.

The other thing he says he wants to be clear about is that following someone is not illegal.

He shows them a poster with the phrase on it.

O’Mara says he wants to show them what they haven’t proven.

Nelson gave the jury the option to go to lunch, or to go straight into rebuttal.

Jury: "let's get this over with"

That may not be 100% accurate, depending on WTH Florida law is and what Guy does ...this is "rebuttal".

I guess O'Mara is allowed to point out who they didn't call.

I also like that he is pointing out following not illegal in the end so it will be fresh in their minds.

I thought there was a stipulation not to?

O’Mara says he really feels like he convinced them his client is innocent beyond a reasonable doubt.

He tells them they might first consider if Zimmerman acted in self-defense.

He says self-defense is defense for everything from littering to speeding.

“It’s an easy decision,” O’Mara says, which is because of the facts of the case.

He says the state can never take away the reasonable doubt and tells them not to let the state do it.

He thanks the jury for their time. He says he appreciates the attention and note-taking.

He wants them to look at the instructions, apply them and find him not guilty so Zimmerman can go back to his life.

Judge Nelson grants a 10 minute recess.

I thought it was good, I enjoyed how MOM kept throwing issues into Guy's lap like live hand-grenades.

Man oh man, I am so worried that George might have to go to jail. Please tell me folks, really, will this jury send him to jail? I just want this nightmare for that good family to be over. It will never stop effecting his life, but I can assure you he will feel a LOT better if the legal garbage is done and he knows he will spend no more time locked up.

I am SURE the jury will not find him guilty of anything.

There is a SMALL chance the Jury will be hung?

But I expect a quick decision unless there is one fool Juror.

Rioting to commence later tonight.

By the way, saw someone ask if I had any new tunes yet about George, I;m sure I will have sometimes soon as the inspiration hits. I am going through a sad time myself as I have been a single father for 13 years of my daughter and son, and two days ago my daughter turned 18 and was accepted at Tennessee Tech and will be leaving her broken-hearted dad around the beginning of next month. My 22 year old son is ready to head out as well and wants to be a stand up comedian and says he too is ready to stop living with dad. So I am needing to move to a smaller place and I will be alone for the first time in many years. I am heart broken and don't want my babies to leave, but I know life goes on.

I thank all of you for listening to my songs. Now back to hear the emotional appeal of the state.

I don't recall that. I only recall the State filed a motion in limine about not letting the defense do that. I don't remember how that turned out. I presume since O'Mara went there it was allowed.

How ironic that Kealing's tweet followed your post! :94

Even Nelson has some limitations.
