I was hoping so bad, and I figured it would be the only chance the defense had, that during closing the defense somehow concentrated on the detailed rules of SD. Nelson was going to give them AS LITTLE understanding as POSSIBLE while the state simply clouded the issue.

Now, if the defense can continue, I would HAMMER this point

I would ask the instructor "would you agree that NO AMERICAN CITIZEN is required BY LAW at ANY TIME to engage in a fight AGAINST THEIR WILL because of an attacker robbing them of their ability to flee? The instructor would say, Uh, Yes. I would then ask, "So if a person attacks someone and DOES rob them of their ability to flee, and begins beating them, and if the victim makes it CLEAR they WANT the hostilities to end (and George yelling makes it clear to all he was calling for an end to the hostilities) and the attacker refuses to allow that escape, then he is engaging in a forcible felony against that person by FORCING HIM to fight against his will, is this correct? He would HAVE to say YES.

Then he could lead him in to whether he TAUGHT IN CLASS about what a forcible felony is. Oh man, they could go on and on. The state simply CANNOT allow this.

Pleasants says Zimmerman was in his class, which covers aspects of investigations and the duties of the investigator.

Mantei submits the exhibit as evidence.

Mantei asks about the type of course.

He says the students are online and he facilitates it.

They have weekly discussions in the class based on different topics.

It appears that someone keeps calling his skype. More people are calling his account.

Judge Nelson asks that he be called on a landline.

Pleasants says Zimmerman participated in all of the different discussion and it was documented by the system that allowed him to go back and look.
