De la Rionda moves on to page three. He points out the use of the word suspect and asks Singleton if she used the word. She says no.

She reads more of the statement, which says the suspect told him to ‘shut the [expletive] up. Zimmerman describes his head feeling like it was going to explode after being “slammed into the side walk.” He writes that the suspect reached for his “now exposed firearm,” and said an expletive.

Singleton moves on to page four.

Zimmerman writes that he fired one shot into Martin’s torso and the “suspect” sat up and said “you got me.”

An onlooker peered, Zimmerman wrote, and asked if he was OK and said he was going to call 911. He wrote he asked the person to help him restrain Martin.

De la Rionda asks about the reference to Martin as a suspect.

De la Rionda asks if police use the term suspect to refer to people. Singleton says it is used for people they think commited a crime.

Listening again to this interview, the malicious nature of this prosecution becomes so very apparent all over again.

Zimmerman is clearly not speaking with a fully cognizant mind. He's obviously speaking from a clouded memory. He's obviously hurting. And he's obviously attempting to be fully truthful.

You are so brillant Chip!! You read my mind..

Also: Zimmerman so not-with-it mentally that he couldn't even draw a layout sketch. Singleton had to print out a Google map overview for him.

He sounded like he was in a daze.

Hey Bernie, back up a minute, I didn't quite finish copying George's Social Security and Driver's License Numbers.

Yes of course.

You can even tell them that Rumpole refers to them as delusional, wilfully ignorant, gossiping old trollops.

Chip! Chip! I was called away. Just caught the tail end of Schaeffer's comments. Did he really say that playing this recording may be fatal to the prosecution?

I missed all of it. :)

Bernie and fellow clowns have a policewoman read George's statement to the jury?? What??? For sure, George does not have to testify now. The Prosecution put in his statement themselves. The Traybots heads must be exploding.

And yet you don't seem all broken up over missing Schaeffer's comments. lol

Of course, there was the caveat that it would be fatal if the state doesn't introduce material inconsistencies and/or conflicts with other evidence. Other than that, I missed it all too.

I was just watching Greta on Fox 35, she said she doesn't understand what the prosecution is doing as they appear to be on the defense's team. She also said as far as GZ having inconsistencies in his statements that she would be more wary if the statement were overly perfect/consistent.

Wait: Bernie actually tried to make a big deal out of Zimmerman calling Martin the "suspicious person" in his oral statement, but writing "suspect" in his written statement?

Zimmerman didn't act in self-defense because he called Martin a "suspect"?
Zimmerman committed second-degree murder because he called Martin a "suspect"?

I believe BDLR is a very petty and vindictive person. Yes, that vindictive.

Edit to fix broken quote

Greta predicts, subject to change "if something remarkable happens", that the defense will not put on a case.
