rt - I'm just not getting the AFTER the slaughter explanations of PTSD. What does that have to do with anything? Who cares what she is afflicted with AFTER the heinous murder?

This Dr.'s entire testimony became useless after the judge ruled that only the jury could arrive at "premeditated vs passion" - the rest is just white noise.

The pen vs pencil deal is just another indicator that this doctor is not very professional and it is a small detail that goes to his credibility. Apparently, from what I understand (I definitely stand to be corrected), those writings should always be in pen, not pencil. The date is another item that should always be noted on any communication. This doctor is an extremely ill-prepared "expert" witness, or professional, for that matter.

As for getting to the "real" Jodi, the State's case is coming up!

You're so right. Even if he's somewhat knowledgeable it's overshadowed by his inappropriatesness. He's very careless.

The PTSD after the crime is a way to justify the fact that she has no memory and her other bizarre behavior.

Starting with why did he go to the jail to give her a book when she was depressed - instead of contacting the Correction Dep't? That's Forensic Psychology 101.

Jodi was more animated yesterday when Dr. Samuels was on the stand than I've seen her in the whole trial. She conversed with her lady attorney a lot. I think she's worried about his testimony hurting rather than helping her. She'd be right.

I'm SO glad the jury will question Dr. Samuels. I forgot about that and they may well ask the important questions that Juan did not.

Wow, I was half-expecting that it was Sheriff Joe Arpaio who was gunned down - tragic for this head of Colorado Prisons! Sad!!

So glad you weighed in, forensic. Yes, especially when she supposedly told him about her suicide intentions! He told no one. Pffft.

He tried to minimize his "gift" by saying he sent it directly from Amazon online to the prison (that is the only way one can get books to an inmate). It was still strange - besides the obvious inappropriateness. He was supposed to be an objective analyzer (wrong word, but you know what I mean), not her therapist to be "helping her."

Did he get sucked in by Jodi? At BEST, he was sucked in. At WORST.......who knows what went on between them?

Also, about the PTSD explaining her lack of memory - it baffles me they harp on this when it is the actual murder and what lead up to it (premeditation) that counts. Everything else, at least to me as an observer, is extra.

I think it's much ado about nothing this Dr. and his "spin" of PTSD, but I think they are trying to explain away why she won't tell what happened! She is pleading self defense, YET won't tell what happened - only when convenient to her CASE! What weasels!! Poor dear Juan ... trying so hard. I HOPE he stays well and strong. Poor guy.

She might have PTSD. Might this have come from the relationship disintegrating to the point of TRAVIS NOT WANTING HER FOR MORE THAN SEX! IN THE BEGINNING I FEEL IT WAS MUCH DIFFERENT, BUT AFTER GETTING TO "KNOW HER"... BYE - good luck Jodi!

I feel the relationship continued on because she DESTROYED EVERY NEW BUDDING RELATIONSHIP HE TRIED TO START He tried SO hard to GET AWAY FROM HER!

He obviously knew what he was up against ... and not quite sure HOW to get OUT of this with her on-going vendettas of tire slashing twice and girlfriends, TOO, getting into his Bank Account, sending emails to people pretending they were coming from Travis, etc.

Travis had to have felt sad ... disgusted ... lonely ... hopeless ... helpless... I sure would.

On the link from R.T. (no discussion) I saw pictures of Travis' entire house. Was SOLD - "as is".
He must have LOVED his house. What's NOT to love, especially coming from his background of druggie parents. Lived there 3 years I think. Decorated earthy, like for a real man.

Joni, you make a good point that they would have had better "success" at saying the PTSD came from further back, the gradual "disintegration of the relationship" - even if this is not possible, it is something that everyone knows is traumatic and more believable than the her forgetting the actual murder due to PTSD (where we know when one experiences this, they always REMEMBER the event, they don't FORGET).
