WHY are they not doing these raids ALL THE TIME... hauling in terrorists, supporters, closing down appartments used as nests and labs etc.

I get what you are saying, Rumpole. They are doing continuous raids. I recall reading about at least one in the past month and I thought to myself "old news", then the one that lead up to the arrest that I posted last week in the Paris thread... I read about that one going on two days before he was arrested. I just don't think we hear about much of what is going on. I also think these bastards are hard to find. :roll

But along the line of your thinking, I read a top officer recently resigned because of his poor performance in leading the investigation to capture these most wanted terrorists. So you are right and the job isn't getting done.

Am I being contradictory? No ... lol

Man in White Brussels bomber 'is most-wanted Paris attack suspect Mohamed Abrini' who travelled to Britain last year
By Alexander Robertson | Mail Online | March 25, 2016

The mysterious ‘Man in White’ who was pictured alongside the Brussels airport bombers just moments before they killed 14 people has reportedly been identified as Mohamed Abrini.

The 31-year-old, wanted for his role in last November's attacks in Paris, is thought to be the man captured on CCTV alongside Belgian brothers Ibrahim and Khalid El Bakraoui, according to the newspaper Sudpresse.

After the two bombers had successfully detonated their bombs, Abrini is thought to have been caught fleeing the scene, wearing beige summer clothes and a blue hat, having failed to set his own device off.

Abrini is believed to have played a major role in organising this week's terror attacks in Brussels, which killed 31 people and injured hundreds more.

Belgian newspaper Sudpresse does not reveal exactly how it has revealed the identify of the wanted man shown on CCTV, who is currently being hunted by police forces in France and Belgium.

BREAKING NEWS: Man is arrested and charged with terrorist murder over Brussels attacks which left 31 people dead

Journalist Faycal Cheffou

Belgian prosecutors have arrested and charged a new suspect in the Brussels terror attacks.

The federal prosecutor's office said in a statement today that a man identified as Faycal Cheffou, was one of six men detained in a police raid on Thursday.

The statement added that he has been charged with for 'involvement in a terrorist group, terrorist killings and attempted terrorist killings'.

Belgium media reports suggest Cheffou, a freelance journalist, is the third bomber pictured walking through Brussels Airport before the attacks with Ibrahim El Bakraoui and Najim Laachraoui. However that has not been confirmed by Belgian prosecutors.

But one source close to the investigation, said: 'That is a hypothesis the investigators are working on.'

Reports in the Belgian media also say that the taxi driver who took the suicide bombers to the airport on Tuesday morning has said he believes the man wearing the white jacket and hat is Cheffou.

Prosecutors also said a second man Aboubakar A. had also been charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist group.

We are running into the old "they all look the same" thing....

Of course...... that is not true. :roll

There are several sub-looks, but within those sub-groups they DO look the same... evil smelly looking bastards.

Still... the good news is.... if the powers that be would just drop the PC BS and PROFILE people in public places.. these bastards are not hard to spot, question, arrest, lock up, or shoot.

Belgium attacks: Mohamed Abrini admits being 'man in the hat'

A terror suspect arrested in Belgium on Friday has admitted being the "man in the hat" seen with the suicide bombers at Brussels airport, prosecutors say.

They say Mohamed Abrini told investigators that he was at the scene of the 22 March bombings.

Abrini is also wanted in connection with the attacks in Paris that killed 130 people last November.

He is one of six men arrested in Brussels on Friday. Four have been charged with terror offences.

Belgian judge approves extradition of 'man in hat' Mohamed Abrini
By The Associated Press | FOX News | June 9, 2016

BRUSSELS – A Belgian judge has ruled that a suspect in the Nov. 13 Paris attacks can be extradited to France, but he is unlikely to go soon.

Belgian federal prosecutors said in a statement that the judge ruled Thursday that a European arrest warrant issued for Mohamed Abrini by French judicial authorities is enforceable.

Before the hearing, Belgian prosecutors told The Associated Press they don't anticipate turning over Abrini to the French anytime soon. They are still investigating him over the March 22 suicide bombings at Brussels Airport. He has acknowledged being the "man in the hat" filmed by security cameras in the company of the two bombers.

Belgium Urges Public Not to Panic After Terror Arrests
Three men charged over the weekend suspected of plotting an attack in the capital; six also arrested in connection with a foiled train attack in August
By Natalia Drozdiak | WSJ | Updated June 20, 2016

BRUSSELS—Belgium’s interior minister has urged the public “not to panic” after authorities charged three men over the weekend suspected of plotting an attack in the capital on fans watching Belgium’s Euro 2016 soccer match in public gatherings.

“There’s no reason to panic or be afraid, but we need to be attentive,” Belgian interior minister Jan Jambon said in a radio interview with Belgian broadcaster RTBF on Monday. “With each terrorist or possible terrorist we arrest, we can diminish the threat…but the terror threat level 3 [out of 4] means that the chance of a terrorist attack is still large.”

Mr. Jambon said so-called “soft targets” and especially large gatherings, such as those in public spaces where fans watch the soccer games, were the main focus of such threats. The government over the weekend said it was taking additional security measures to protect such places.

According to local media reports, two of the men arrested over the weekend were relatives of the el-Bakraoui brothers, two of the suicide bombers who blew themselves up in the Belgian capital on March 22, in attacks that killed 32 people and injured more than a hundred.

TERROR MANHUNT: Attack 'IMMINENT' as suspects on run after Belgian police raids
BELGIAN police have carried out terror raids but warned another attack is imminent as they did not manage to catch all the suspects.
By Laura Mowat | Express | UPDATED: 21:40, Thu, Jul 6, 2017

Officers said they believe at least one man is on the run as they fear another attack after the raids in the Anderlecht area of Brussels

Police found guns, ammunition and police uniforms as they raided six locations and charged two suspected militants with terror-related offences.

Police charged brothers Akim Saouti, 40 and Khalid Saouti, 37, with terrorism related offences on Wednesday.

It is thought the two men are the brothers of Said Saouti, who was sentenced to six years in prison in 2016 for supporting Islamic State (ISIS) and recruiting people to join the terror group.

A police spokesman said an attack could not be ruled out as the authorities fear the discovery of the store of guns and uniforms could provoke an attack similar to the bombing atrocity in Brussels last year.
