Officials say 21-year-old Dylann Roof was arrested in Shelby just before 11 a.m. after he was spotted driving near a business in Kings Mountain. Roof is accused of opening fire in the Emanuel AME Church, in Charleston, Wednesday night. According to police, nine people were killed after shots were fired during a prayer meeting inside Emanuel AME Church on Calhoun Street around 9:05 p.m. Police Chief Greg Mullen said officers arrived to find eight people dead inside the church. A ninth victim died later at a nearby hospital. "That awful person, that terrible human being who would go into a place of worship where people were praying and kill them -- is now in custody where he will always remain," Charleston Mayor Joe Riley said in a press conference. Elder James Johnson, President of the Charleston Chapter of the National Action News, said SC Senator Clementa C. Pinckney was one of the nine shot and killed inside the church. Oh GOOD GOD......this man, minority leader Todd Rutherford, just blames FOX news... said they put out hate speech and tell ppl it's ok to go out and shoot ppl in a church.. I'll look for the clip later to see if they put it on line...good lawd ppl!!!! |

Mostly because we’re not particularly fond of the judicial system using optics and theatrics for public consumption. Such activity shows the growing influence of the Community Relations Service (CRS, Grande Lum) within the judiciary. It was not a good thing when it was evidenced in Sanford/Orlando 2012/2013, it is not a good thing in Charleston 2015. Judge seemed pissed.. at the end. Did not have jurisdiction to set bond on the 9 murder charges... so could only attend to one charge of possession of firearm while committing crime(s)... set bond just for that at $1 Milllion |
