Jen's Trial Diaries@TrialDiariesJ Judge needs to know tomorrow if #bryanhulsey is speaking to jury. Looks like a Monday closing arguments #bryanhulsey is asking if he can testify!! Judge says Juan can cross you. Hulsey says he understands He wants to speak about Dr Hayes. Judge says you can do that at allocution and u need to speak to your lawyer #bryanhulsey will answer tomorrow |

Another day...... Jen's Trial Diaries@TrialDiariesJ Defense wants a 2 month delay right now #bryanhulsey #what?!!! Defense is saying due to over 200 pages submitted yesterday from State on Dr Hayes they want a delay #bryanhulsey Juan says he just got 200 page docs last night too. The majority was already turned in to defense Oh no no no no. Judge is troubled by this last minute document submission Dr Hayes will not testify today and Judge is thinking of precluding her Ok. Monday Dr Hayes will be dealt with Jury questions can't be asked so Juan has Det Bustos and if Dr Hayes can't testify he's resting |

Closing Arguments today Jen's Trial Diaries@TrialDiariesJ #bryanhulsey is here and wants to give note to family instead of speaking. Juan objected and Judge sustained. He said that's not allocution #bryanhulsey has paranoid schizophrenia, depression, anxiety and anti social personality drug addiction and mental illness along with his brain don't let him make good decisions. That's what happened that day mitigation factors "We put people in prison for life for doing worse things than #bryanhulsey" family loves him. They know what he did and does and they still love him Defense- this is an individual decision. I'm begging you for mercy. You are making a irrevocable life or death decision I urge you to vote for life. Defense has finished and we r at lunch till 1:30pm MST |

He brings up Holly's mother having to bury her son or incinerate him as a choice she had to make #bryanhulsey is just staring straight ahead as state closes If there are no mitigating favors you need to follow the instructions No physical or emotional abuse was admitted by parents or siblings. No records, nothing You can get treatment for mental illness but anti social personality disorder you can't fix. #bryanhulsey is a mean person. It's how he is Globus says #bryanhulsey liked dogs, followed them around. What about the cats he shoved firecrackers in? Blew them up for pleasure |

Jury begins deliberations in Hulsey penalty phase PHOENIX (AP) -- A jury has begun deliberating on a sentence for a man convicted of murder in the 2007 shooting of a Glendale police officer. Jurors deliberated for a short time Monday before leaving for the day. They're scheduled to resume Tuesday. Bryan Wayne Hulsey was convicted last month of first-degree murder in the killing of 24-year-old Anthony Holly. Attempted murder charge will be handled right after verdict If a life verdict he will be sentenced right away today Attempted murder is 7-21 years but 10.5 presumptive State dismissed count 3- weapons charge Jury coming in gets death penalty |

Sentencing is happening now Now we wait to see if jury will speak to the press...cross fingers gets 9 years for attempted murder to run consecutively to count 1 dad is going on camera now saying "shame on our justice system!" |
