I don't suppose Traybot Worrier types actually can think sufficiently well to mentally create and evaluate the world they claim to want. Police officers sitting in their car so as to not "incite" bad guys? Even if "good people" were on a complete curfew... stay in their homes and dont even get INTO a car...... that wouldn't work either... when the bad guys broke in they would presumably have to leave their home. It's a tricky sort of cove old Johnny complete appeasement.

African Americans, women, and the elderly are more likely to benefit from the controversial "stand-your-ground" laws than other groups, according to John Lott Jr., president of the Crime Prevention Research Center.

"Blacks are more likely to be successful in making claims using stand-your-ground than any other racial group. They benefit in many ways," Lott told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"Blacks who live in high-crime urban areas are the people most likely to be victims of violent crime in the U.S. and it would be great if the police were able to protect them all the time but they can't," Lott said.

It has always amazed me how otherwise (seemingly) rational human beings can reject all facts, forensic data, eyewitness testimony, and other evidence when they are completely committed to an idea that they hold dear.

Gun control supporters are one practitioner of this sort of cognitive dissonance. Conspiracy theorists (9/11, Sandy Hook, Illuminati, “chem trails,” etc) are another. People who still insist that Trayvon Martin was a “victim” who was “just walking home” or that he was “racially profiled” are equally immune to reality, but shockingly, enough of them exist to hold a small protest rally in Los Angeles:

Report: George Zimmerman finds work as security guard in DeLand store

DELAND, Fla. — According to a DeLand police report, George Zimmerman has found work as a security guard at Pompano Pats in DeLand.

Pompano Pats is a locally-owned store on South Woodland Boulevard that sells firearms, ammunition and motorcycles.

The report stated that the owner of the business asked Zimmerman to guard the store due to a recent burglary.

George Zimmerman 'patrolling' Central Florida shop after gun theft
Owner of Pompano Pat's in DeLand says Zimmerman not working for him

DeLAND, Fla. - Although he's not a hired security officer, George Zimmerman has been "patrolling" outside a Volusia County gun shop after it was recently robbed, according to the store owner.

Pat Johnson told Local 6 that Zimmerman is not an employee of his DeLand store Pompano Pat's, which sells firearms, ammunition and motorcycles.

Johnson said that Zimmerman, on his own accord, has been spotted outside the store since the robbery earlier this month. The thieves stole rifles worth up to $5,000 and two mini-bikes, according to Johnson.

Johnson added that although he knows Zimmerman, he has not hired him as a security officer.

Pompano Pat's made headlines last July when it offered Zimmerman a free gun days after his murder trial ended.

There was a "Police Incident" Involving GZ which probably gave rise to the recent stories about him being hired as a security guard.

Police observed and questioned a "suspicious" guy sitting in parked car behind premises. No further action.

Competence in the Practice of Law") that was written in response to O'Mara's pioneering use of social media and a dedicated web site to bypass the media's influence and get all of the available evidence out into the public's hands for review and comment.

I doubt we'll ever know just how much M'OM relied on the contributions of folks who spent their own personal time pouring over the evidence, but I've often wondered how you could bottle that potential and market it to defense lawyers and prosecutors. (Coreshift, I believe it was you who commented once that the prosecutors in the GZ case had an army of angry emotion-driven Traybots while the defense had a think tank of objective supporters lending their assistance )

The doctor who autopsied Trayvon Martin, and later raised eyebrows with his uneven testimony during the trial of George Zimmerman, has released an ebook in which he argues prosecutors "hoped to lose the case."

Despite that claim, "Dead Men Can't Lie," the 37-page ebook by Dr. Shiping Bao, offers no proof.

Rather, it largely alleges poor preparation and bad evidence practices contributed to Zimmerman's acquittal.

Bao appeared flustered and was at times confrontational during his trial testimony, and gave opinions on the witness stand that conflicted with his earlier analysis of the case.

But he writes that he repeatedly asked to meet with prosecutors in the lead-up to the trial but was mostly ignored.

I watched Bao's testimony at the trial. It was clear to me that he is a narcissistic nincompoop.

Considering the way the state presented their "case", Dr. Bao can be forgiven for thinking they were actually trying to lose.
