Message from The Queen... Quote: On Monday morning (NZ time), the Queen will address the UK and other Commonwealth countries on the coronavirus pandemic in a rare special televised broadcast.
The Queen, who will be 94 later this month, pre-recorded the address at Windsor Castle, where she and the 98 year-old Duke of Edinburgh, are staying. It is expected she will praise the efforts of health workers and all those helping the fight against Covid-19. The speech comes as the coronavirus pandemic takes more lives daily in Britain. The total number of people who have died with coronavirus in the UK has passed 3605. That is an increase of 684 from the previous day. |
