Hope you like your new thread, Joni :42

I am REALLY looking forward to hearing the sort of songs you like... and some you used to sing even.

I wish we had recordings of you

Of course other people can post comments and other songs.... so long as they are within the general type here

I love this one too. Not like Neil Sadaka at all ... but he wrote it.

Read he used to start work every day at 9 AM. Shut himself in a room and wrote and wrote and wrote. :DN4

Did this one and also Pina Coladas.

This is fun R. Thanks. Some truly great music I think has been lost ... somehow.

When I did this tune with my equipment, I did it very country, and VERY funky. I really had to laugh,
everytime ANYONE old, young, male, female went to the powder room, THEY ALL HAD TO DANCE to and from the powder room!

AND - even the guys standing behind their girls at the bar (very crowded) were DANCING in place!!
It was so cute.

Oh, Joni....

Just so you don't think you are posting alone... I'll post a Neil Sedaka Song I remember.

Neil Sedaka - Oh! Carol (original version)

I remember Ode To Billie Joe being a BIG hit when I was at high school... quite controversial lots of discussion about the lyrics..

Was it about abortion? Throwing a baby off the bridge? Just lost love.... throwing a ring?

Suicide of Billy Joe.

OH good R. It's ok. They will come along later, like I do.

I am going out on a really good note. You will like this one! I did this at age 12.

R. I often wondered about Billy Joe myself. But thought it was such a different type tune ... liked it.
Hope she wasn't a one hit wonder! I liked that tune.

R I remember Oh Carol. One must be very careful of the songs they choose and sing.
I couldn't do "Oh Carol". :HSG

I taught Belly Dancing on the Main Line of Philadelphia. I sometimes look at Sadie ... I think the BEST of all the REST!

I was a bit disappointed with "Kitten on the keys"

Nice song... but no kittens? :13

SILLY! The tri-tones (3 whole notes apart) are supposed to give that funny, strange sound as if a CAT was walking up and down the keys. (SORRY to disappoint!!) :11 SCARED me to death when I was 12. Syncopated ... OMG!

I am so tired here but laughing!

'nite!

Nite Joni

(Still think the song would be better if three kittens were placed on the keys)

MM Ha ha cute smilie.

I studied from 3 different teachers, never performed ... ummm publically. :HSG

Loved teaching though. Girls got pregnant who couldn't - before.
I wondered about that. Maybe the husbands saw their wives "practicing" and ... ... lol.

Many had easier births. How CAN we go into an Olympic Feat and NOT have those muscles exercised and in optimum shape?? Seems awful, doesn't it? AND DUMB!

AND why don't they change the birthing position and UTILIZE GRAVITY? A sling? Something???
:18 I seem to like this one!
