This is several years old, but in this audience, you may enjoy the political angle to it. It 'turned me on' to Hayes Carll. He's very hard to put in any one category. This is from his KMAG YOYO CD. You military know what that means, for the rest it's "Kiss my ass guys, you're on your own". He is popular at the SXSW (south by south west) festival in Austin, TX. Cute song, hope you enjoy!

LOL, yes, I've heard that one. I think it's on the KMAG YOYO CD. Wonder where I put it? I have family name Katie
freckles. Anyway, I love his kinda sing-songy voice. He's different, I like that. Reminds me a bit of Dylan or Guthrie, can't recall which. I sure know his twang, though! Not a lot of difference from S. MO's accent.

I've been listening to XM & Sirius for the last few years & it spoils you on top 40 real quick! Did you know Sirius is different than plain XM, though still Sirius? It's weird. I enjoy the station Red, White & Booze. A little rock, older country, with a bit of just about anything really popular from the last 40 years or so. But it's all really good picks. I've heard Merle Haggard to Dylan, Stones, George Thoroughgood, Skynrd to Bill Monroe. Great mix!

I like being out in the wilds...so I can always find a station, unless I'm down in a holler & the hills block it. Down on a river bank or creekside, it's too far down to pick up. Only bummer of it, though, sometimes just moving the car makes a diff. Factory installed is better than add on without the special antenna.

Here's a fav or Geo. T.song. I call it son #1's theme song, LOL.
