Today it was also announced that President Trump’s defense team added Ken Starr, Alan Dershowitz, Robert Ray, Pam Bondi and Jane Raskin. Those five will join Pat Cipollone and Jay Sekulow who are the primary defense lawyers.

I think it is VERY IMPORTANT to note that that Legal submission was easy for the “layman” to read and grasp, as well as stating a legal outline. This Senate trial needs to reach the general voting public as well as the “Alleged Jurors”

EVERY BODY.. even legal experts who are NOT Trump supporters say these Articles are “invalid” Especially the second one.. which is a total silly farce.
So…. WHY (As Sen. Lindsay contends) is Senate not going to DISMISS out of hand?
The answer is “political games”.. and that is a silly reason to give this farce any credibility.


David Rivkin makes a good point. Paraphrasing.... These articles are flawed and should never have been passed in the House... but.... since they were passed and sent to Senate, the Senate does have to hear them.. but then DISMISS. No rebuttal by President's side should be needed. I have followed a lot of criminal cases and there is a standard procedure that the Defense files a motion to dismiss after the Prosecution have presented their case. No need to mount a defense since the Prosecution have not presented a valid case. This is usually a "formality" but on rare occasions it is accepted. Weak and/or malicious prosecutions that are simply not supported by facts

I appreciate Giuliani's abilities... but he he is NOT always "an asset" when he stirs things up in public. It was Giuliani who brought Lev Parnas into things.. in hindsight not helpful.
I'd LOVE to hear Rudy testify about the corruption in Ukraine, but NOT in the Impeachment trial. I'd like to see the Impeachment done first, then have hearings on Ukraine corruption.. as well as abuse of power by Pelosi, Schiff and the gang.
