LondoJowo, listen to the words again. Gutman is full of it and Abrams says George was not justified in shooting Trayvon. The good news is some truth slipped through in the MSM.

Who is the girl pictured on the YouTube #3 on your post above (How many Witness 8s are there?)? It says DeeDee (Trayvon's girlfriend) and it clearly isn't Rachel Jeantel.

It was somebody suspected of being a DeeDee early on, her name can be found (eg at CTH)

Just FYI, I took a few days off at the lake house, but followed the testimony Friday up to the ME taking the stand, along with all comments here. Then my wifi connection went on the blink and the family had 100% of my time! I caught up on the comments here and elsewhere yesterday, about lost it when I read about the personal notes ...what a dipstick!

Just want to thank all for doing such a wonderful job on sharing the information and a few personal opinions. I think I need to find time to watch the ME's testimony narrative of whatever messages the idiot was looking to get across to the jury!!!!

We were at a rental lake house up in North Florida all week. Great time with the exception of the tree limbs falling on my father in law's windshield then two nights later blocking the driveway. No TV because the cable was out but I was able to keep up with things thanks to RT and CTH.

Using the laptop, it was not as simple as usual to listen and type comments ...and the family pressed me for time, so I skipped commenting quite a few times!

Thanks for the Drudge Report pic kpb....

http://www.drudgereport.com/

and here is the article....

Analysis: George Zimmerman Probably Won't Be Convicted of Murder or Manslaughter -- Here's Why
ANALYSIS by DAN ABRAMS
July 7, 2013

I drew a legal conclusion on "Good Morning America" Saturday that would have surprised the Dan Abrams who covered the George Zimmerman case leading up to, and shortly after, his arrest.

Now that the prosecution's case against Zimmerman is in, as a legal matter, I just don't see how a jury convicts him of second degree murder or even manslaughter in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.

Unbelievable. :lol

The tone of the ABC report at the end is that with the State case over and there is no evidence to convict George of Murder2 or manslaughter.... but "trial not over yet".....

Translation: They still hope that the Defence will prove Zimmerman guilty? :slap

The cross examination of your own witnesses can be disappointing. The state can insert much more persuasive hints on cross than is possible on direct. Think pursued and never went for the gun or saw it when George went for his cell phone, if the opportunity comes up.

There is no freaking way that I will make thru 44 pages. LOL!

I missed y'all. :give :give :give Been trying to keep up through Twitter and I have fallen by the wayside on that, too! The good news is that I am off this week so I can watch part of the trial. The bad news is that I am scheduled a LOT of Dr visits this week.

So help me, If I have to be at the Doctors during Dr Vincent DiMaio, I will buy a gun and it won't be pretty! I love him to pieces. :blow He was here in SAT for a long time. Now he is BIG time and I am willing to bet he is one of the ones doing this for a reduced rate.

I am off to go read some Daft. I could use the humor of those turkeys right about now!

I was so hoping to see some of the Daft from that one! I got to watch most of it and I was thunderstruck by the level of quality that runs thru that ME's office.

No one know more about the TM autopsy than I do, but I just don't remember doing the autopsy in a nut shell. Apparently someone remeinded him about a month ago that he would be testifying so he made a little crib sheet and told us about an autopsy that he had done 3 weeks prior that involved a shot in the heart. I swear he was bound and determined to tell that story. He just cracked me up. Twitter was all abuzz about Bao though. There were many freaking funny comments about him. I think it was Hornsby that said the next time Judge Nelson and Bao meet up it will be in traffic court. Boa will try to explain to her how he can't remember how to drive. He caught some flack on that one because he was making fun of Asian drivers. People that criticized need to drive around SFO for a week. That would change their little pea-pickin' minds!

Me > :94 :94 :94 through out that whole testimony.

L-freaking-O-L! :Gslap :Gslap

I got to watch part of MOM's attempt to get a JOA and thought he was very eloquent. I got to see about 20 min of Mantei and I never heard any of his proof just allegations w/o fact.

The JOA are rarely granted so I knew it was going to fail...but I am very excited about the upcoming weeks. Some real PROFESSIONALS will be coming in and The State is about to be out-classed by miles! I am wondering if BDLR is going to be the one that crossed Dr. DiMaio or if he will pass it on to Guy or Mantei. I don't think he has the balls to do it. If he does, I will be glued in for that mirth and merriment.

Dr. DiMaio has more credentials than is street legal. Not only a gunshot/wounds specialist but an ME for decades.

Dinner will be served!

I am itching to find out what other specialist MOM has on board. He killed it with the State's Audio Experts.
:slap

Tom Owens was proud that he had never been denied his expertise. Well, that went down the tubes. Jeralyn said that she had worked with him before and that he was good. Then there was the Voice Whisperer! Poor old guy. I actually felt sorry for that one.

Anywhoo, I need to go to bed. I have a million things to do this week and none of them are fun.

I never did catch up! hahaha. You all were just to fast for me.

What a wuss Deb... :neener

Can't catch up here at RT... you should see all the posts at CTH... 5 or six threads per trial day... and lots of other threads on specific topics. Shipping Bao got the treatment there as well :)

Hope you at least saw the two Jib Jabs with Bao featured here? And other YT's.

Hope you do manage to catch some of the trial.. but for now......
Nite.

George Zimmerman murder trial set to resume Monday morning in Sanford
Last Updated: Sunday, July 07, 2013

SANFORD -- Monday is potentially the beginning of the final week of testimony in the George Zimmerman murder trial.

Zimmerman’s attorney, Mark O’Mara, said it could take only a few days for the defense to present its case.

“A few days, Wednesday, Thursday, could go more according to some rulings the court still has to make regarding the admissibility of certain evidence,” O’Mara said.

The trial resumes Monday at 9 a.m. and News13 will have live gavel-to-gavel coverage.

The defense presented its first witnesses Friday after Judge Debra Nelson denied a motion to dismiss the case.

There has been much speculation that Zimmerman would not take the witness stand, but O’Mara didn’t rule out the possibility of his client testifying.

“He’s very stressed because, here’s what’s going on, the state is still trying to put him away for life in a situation where he thought he was doing only what he had to do to protect his own life,” O’Mara said.

O’Mara also publicly acknowledged he’s considering calling prosecution witness Rachel Jeantel.

As far as I know, she isn't anyone alleged/confirmed to be a potential "Witness 8" - and thus, has merely served to bias the perception of the identity of the voice in the recording.

George Zimmerman’s 10-20-Life Problem

To many people, there is no middle ground: George Zimmerman will either be convicted of Second Degree Murder or he will be found Not Guilty.

But the reality is much more complex, because the jury will have a number of Lesser Included Offenses to choose from.

And because of these numerous options, it is not uncommon for a jury to exercise what is known as their “pardon” or “nullification” power and return a compromise verdict that they believe is just under the circumstances. See generally Haygood v. State, 109 So. 3d 735 (Fla. 2013).

Lesser Included Offenses

In Florida, there are two types of Lesser Included Offenses:

1.Category One Lesser Offenses (Mandatory Lessers); and

2.Category Two Lesser Offenses (Discretionary Lessers).
