Okay, I can go with that. :83

If it was actually DeeDee's own idea to lie about her age, that puts a different perspective on things. Why would she voluntarily do that? Did she WANT to get involved in this case? Did she actively seek to contact Sybrina or someone on the Scheme Team? I would doubt that, especially given the time interval but this makes no sense. There must be a deeper reason for lying about her age than is readily visible. The only thing that makes sense to me is that someone else suggested it to her before the interview but IDK.

I guess we still do not have records to confirm if she was on the phone during those last few minutes. Is that right? If not, would she risk telling the defense she was if she wasn't?

Do we even know if she had a lawyer?

I'm only now about to read O'Mara's motion, but my understanding from the blurb I read was that O'Mara was saying that DeeDee only confessed to Crump and BDLR in August, that DeeDee is saying she lied in her Crump interviews and April BDLR interview - in other words, that she herself originated the lies, and that both Crump and BDLR were clueless about her lies until she confessed in August when BDLR flew her to another town for an interview.

Personally, I'm very skeptical that they didn't know before then - frankly, I have a hard time believing she came up with the lies herself.

Well, just off the top of my head, there were either two DDs and the first one was 16 and Crump decided to use that info to keep everyone from checking up on her. Or, she was actually 18 and Crump just made it up because he didn't want anyone to find her, since she was lying for him. :TF

I agree it could still be two or one Dee Dee. Either way I think the Dee Dee discovered by Treepers was her, either way.

The is another possibility that DD is a composite of different girls, like Obama's girlfriends. LOL

While trying to understand the motives behind DeeDee's lies (and I am always thinking about how they kept mentioning how her mom didn't want her involved, thus I have to wonder how her mom would then sit by and let her daughter lie), we must also remember the many times that recorder was stopped. What exactly was being discussed? Beyond just the coaching, the feeding of information to DeeDee about what she "heard" that night, was Crump also telling her to lie about her age? I believe he told her before that phone interview that she needed to state she was a minor. I think he had to do a lot of persuading to get her involved. I believe he also had to convince her that he would keep the wolves at bay and she would not have to do anything more than his little phone interview to get justice for Trayvon and his mudder and fadder. I find there are so many lies that I can't find the barn door for them. It's like being in a Hitchcock movie, with lies swarming all around like something straight out of *Heck*.

Don't understand why the Dog Pound is sending this writing to the Scheme Team?

Robert Sr (?) writes and I liked this question of his:

"I remain confused. How did Mr. Crump initially know this individual’s age was 16?(as opposed to 15 or 17) Why did this individual’s parents portray her as a ‘minor’, reportedly giving Mr. Crump permission to speak to their minor daughter?"

My guess is she is trying to get Nasty all in a twitter (pardon the pun) about doxing. They seem to think if the Zimmerman's or their supporters even mention DeeDee, then they are "doxing" her. I continue to be amazed that it seems anyone can get a law degree. From Nasty to Crump, there are so many absolutely ignorant people with a license to practice law. I have seen more intelligence from people with a degree in basket weaving.

edit Rumpole
The reason you had trouble with this post is that it was a quote containing an embedded tweet.

TWEETS SHOULD NOT be included in quoted posts... its just the way it is

You are probably right about trying to get Nasty wound up. Or maybe she's just trying to get "in" with them. Ridiculous. I don't see anything in the Robert Zimmerman's writing that is untoward in any way. He was quoting Crump's lies that Crump told the world.

Loved his questioning if DD's parents were in on the LIE, too, if Crump wrote in his document that he got permission from the parents to speak to their minor child. Wow! What a MESS!

Exactly Remote; which is why I put that in my statement on the previous pg. I am left to wonder if parent's were so concerned about her, why would they sit there and allow her to lie without putting a stop to it? Lies flyin' around like bats on the water at a mosquito convention, I tell ya. There's so many lies, we would all die of old age trying to figure them out.

LittleLaughter - I like the visual of the mosquito swamp!

The thing is, we will never know, because no one will ever come forward to say Crump invented the whole thing and no one is going to go deep enough to expose him, especially with him being an "officer of the court." The whole thing is a shameful farce!

Indeed. And what a shame I might add. Night now, I am going to sleep well knowing the unravelling has truly begun.

I believe that Crump made up the entire narrative and spoon fed it to Dee Dee to tell. I don't think her mother was ever involved.

They try to find anything that might be used against George and his family and bring it to their masters. If they find something good they get a doggie treat or maybe a pat on the head. It's really nothing more than that.

If she was telling MOM all of this in the deposition on the 13th, I can see why they asked for it to continue. I suspect that the Defense has found out more of what was actually happening during the "couple of minutes" and the actions taken by Martin to get himself back to that "T" intersection during the 4+ minutes he was off of the grid.

I would think that they don't want to lose W8 as a witness. Personally, I have always thought that the reason she didn't come forth in a timely fashion is that she was protecting her friend.

I think that the judge will deny the sanctions, also. Reason being that she has been telling MOM for months to depose her but he wanted more information than the State was willing to provide before questioning her.

The SAO has not been on a search for truth and justice. They have been on a mission to prevent civil disobedience and tarnishing the image of Florida as a place to spend those tourism dollars. They were still recovering from the BP Spill at the time of the shooting and the financial repercussions from that so they really couldn't afford another black eye in the way of Disneyworld/Miami in full riot.

There were a lot of commercials running over the summer that said "We're back!" touting the Gulf Coast as the place to be.

Cui bono? The State.
