A "Statistical Anomaly" in and of itself does not PROVE anything.

I agree that the jury pool demographics do not match the reported general population, but more info is needed as to why.

Reasons COULD be legitimate.... or some nefarious manipulation of those selected could be in play.

For instance.... it is often said that prospective jury pools are made up of people too stupid (uneducated) to get out of jury duty..... dare I say... maybe THAT is effecting the numbers.... selecting more minority people? More minority people with no pressing work and business excuses... etc

The stats are a RED FLAG... but more investigation is needed before blame can be assigned.

In other words... need to catch whoever might be doing it.

Jury Selection Procedures

There is a lot of conflicting information about how the jury is being selected. I haven’t found any court order describing the process. Florida's Jury Management Manual is here.

What we know: 500 jurors have been summoned.
There will be six final jurors and some number of alternates.
100 jurors are to report each day. When they get to court, they fill out questionnaires.
