Question(s):
If Witness #8 said one thing under oath in disposition, and alters that in court -- are there any legal consequences for her?
If she in fact goes on-line tonight to tweet or chat, or communicates with anyone in any other way about the trial and it's uncovered, what would the judge do about that? And would the defense be able to use that kind of disregard for the legal process to impeach her character to the jury?
When West asked early in his cross what she knew about what happened to Trayvon, and she said she never watched the news, knowing what he knows about her Facebook use, why didn't he follow up and ask if she heard anything about it on social media?
She claims she was concerned for Trayvon's safety when he first said 'a cracker' was following him (she worried it could be a 'molester'). But after a subsequent confrontation with that possible molester, followed by the well known distinct sounds of 'wet thuds' on wet grass' and a disconnected phone, why didn't she try to reconnect with Trayvon more then one time? Could it be she wasn't worried about his safety at that point because she never heard any interchange between George & Trayvon? And shouldn't West have followed up with that line of questioning?
And I already know the answer to this question, but I'll pose it anyway: Why didn't West ask Witness #8 if it was common for Trayvon Martin to use disparaging racist terms like "cracker" for Whites, to establish the counter-claim it Trayvon's racist inclinations that caused him to confront and attack 'cracker' George Zimmerman?
#8 could literally show up tomorrow at the crack of 2 p.m., drunk and staggering, swear at the judge and insist she won't take the stand but wants everyone to know that she was lying then and is lying now and whatcha' gon' do about it? And
nothing will happen to her. Just like nothing happened to the lying jurors to try to set an example to discourage others from lying.
