State called Sybrina to the stand and immediately went to a long sidebar.

I get the feeling that they are doing this for the jury to get the impact of Sybrina in the stand.

They start off with a stipulation agreed by both sides and the defendant that Trayvon really was the dead guy they autopsied, so I guess that means no calling the ME, and then they (BDLR) called Sybrina, got her sworn in, and then immediately went to the bench for a sidebar of some sort (a term I have no memory of hearing Perry Mason ever use by the way, or anyone else until the OJ Simpson trial), and here we sit as of 8:48 AM EDT, with the sound from the courtroom muted and who knows what going on.

I was just going to say that....state waited for the jury to be seated and then called for a sidebar....another ploy from the state.

I'm hard on Traymom™ and it may seem to some that I give Trayspermdonor™ a pass. You really don't want to get me started on what I think of philanderers, especially those with children, and most especially those who can't seem to find any time to spend with their offspring because they're too busy "doing other things".

Bernie asks if Trayvon is right or left handed, gets her to describe his tattoos, then goes right into the 911 call.

As soon as he gets her to say it was Trayvon, he's done with her, at least for now (although apparently whatever the long sidebar was about is going play jack in the box later on today), so now O'Mara is crossing, tries to open with expression of sympathy, Bernie objects.
