I was hoping for an objection and sidebar for a coffee break. I guess if you accurately and correctly state FACTS, objections are unnecessary!

West is subtle again: points out that 7-11 cashier is 5'10", shows pictures of 5'10" cashier and of Martin, while saying "Martin is 5'11", per the medical examiner". The jurors will obviously see that Martin was clearly taller than 5'11", without West needed to challenge that assertion directly. Well-played.

I thought I heard O'Mara asked if he could approach...then West said thank you.

West had just said "someone keeps moving my stuff (words to that effect).

Women like vulnerable bumbling men. Especially the older women on the jury. If I were on the jury, I would find West to be endearing. He can do that while being intelligent tool :blow

Just saying.

Lack of sidebars spoils the drinking game... I am sure it will pick up later.

Traditionally objections are rare during openings

West says at 7:13:40 the call ends, and says “keeping in mind that by this time Trayvon Martin was back on the phone.”

West says the jurors will hear more from the woman.

He says second-degree murder requires a depraved mind, ill-will and spite.

He says the woman will tell the jury that the moment the incident became physical; Martin decided to confront George Zimmerman.

He says Martin turned to Zimmerman out of the darkness and said “why are you following me?’

The last thing she heard was Martin saying that phrase, West says.

West shows a new diagram of the pathway he calls “the T.” He says it shows the position of evidence marked by law enforcement.

West shows where one of the callers lived. He says she described hearing three voices. They couldn’t see what was happening, but could hear it and decided to call police.

He says it took a few seconds for her to get through.

West there’s something that sounds like it could be a shot, but it’s not. It’s been proven he only fired once.

“Mr. Guy gave you the answer,” West says.

West describes how eight rounds can be put into a gun.

West plays the witness call.

I am so looking for how far the body was down from the T.

Traybots say that is the smoking gun that GZ lied.

At some points, GZ looks very pained; like re-experiencing. I hope jurors notice.

I had only anticipated a half day of opening. The rate it's going, my entire day may be spent here. I do love how West is making his case with FACTS that will not change through presentation of evidence or testimony from witnesses. His story will be the one stuck in the minds of the jurors as the state tries to make their case.

I'm glad you wrote what I was thinking. I can't feel sympathy for this lying, manipulative, greedy, fame junkie.

Thanks, I missed it. I guess that was from the T. That is quite a distance. I have been trying to figure out why. OMG HLN is just loving the prosecutor. A handsome prosecutor for the ladies on the jury.
