A few days ago someone shared a link to an Orlando Sentinel article which outlined a Florida BAR investigation into Mark O’Mara. Then ABC News came out with a similar article. Both media reports generally vague in their descriptives.

However, one news outlet, CBS – TAMPA:, actually did leg work, actually documented their reporting, and actually put citations with their story in contrast to the other articles which are regurgitating the same information. AND you might find the following actually cited media report of more significant value:

CBS – TAMPA: — The attorney who helped get George Zimmerman acquitted of murder charges earlier this year is being investigated by the Florida Bar after a complaint was filed against him.

Florida Bar spokeswoman Francine Walker said in an email Tuesday that there was a pending complaint against Mark O’Mara regarding his representation of Zimmerman.

She said the complaint is at the “staff investigation level” and that she couldn’t provide any further information due to confidentiality rules.

A spokesman for O’Mara said he planned to release a statement later Tuesday. He no longer represents Zimmerman in criminal matters.

I think George has decided he doesn't have to be anyone's wipping post any more and is fighting back and I say I stand behind him . No one has a right to treat that man the way he has been treated and his family when they weren't there that night and don't have a clue about what really happened. He has taken more than I would have ever taken ......

George Zimmerman could have a gold mine on his hands -- selling artwork to climb out of massive debt -- and no one's happier than the lawyer who defended him at his murder trial -- who's still waiting to be paid ... TMZ has learned.

Zimmerman is on the hook to attorney Mark O'Mara for a reported $1 million. Zimmerman could make a serious dent in that debt if he sells his first original painting on eBay ... because the highest bid is now well over $100K.

O'Mara wouldn't comment on Zimmerman's finances. But he did tell us, "If selling paintings helps him rebuild his life, I'm not going to stand in the way of that."

But we're guessing if there's a big fat check in O'Mara's mailbox ... he'll gladly cash it.

As I've always said I believe George is a good ole boy, but he is very naive and gullible, .... and that's putting it mildly. I just hope he has someone to look out for his interests.

Some serious heavy duty daft out of Nancy Grace over Zimmerman's paintings including such instantly classics as Trayvon was 100% innocent and was just arbitrarily gunned down by Zimmerman while walking home from the store but even better was Nanners insistence that thug mom and thug dad have not made a single cent from skittles death

One of the questions over at EBay was whether or not any of the money would go to MOM and the answer was "No" w/o any further explanation. IMO, it seemed kind of asshol-ish answer. I would assume he is going to have to file a 1099 for whatever money he receives and that the fees will be filed as an expense.

Quite right Deb..... I doubt MOM would want to force the issue.... YET... and force George to declare bankruptcy...

It's "business" .... George would end up paying MOM little, if anything. George DOES have potential to gain millions in the future... it's not rocket science to assume that MOM would wait until George has a big pile of money before demanding settlement of debts.

I wonder if the cancelled bids were the fake bids or the new bids are the fake ones?
