Sure, let the state compile what it wants to put on and give the defense an opportunity to object, and also supplement for completeness. For example, go ahead and play the complete reconstruction video for the jury. Is BDLR going to yell, rant and flap his arms during the video (think Trent)? Or is BDLR going to be forced to STFU while the jury watches and listens, without interruption, to a very logical, rational and believable explanation of events by GZ?
John, I understand what you are saying, but you are making it sound easy. The prosecution it seems to me will try to do what defense attorneys usually which is discredit GZ story.
For instance, he'll put Serino on the stand with the video, but didn't GZ said this and that. Then he will put someone else and repeat. Until GZ's version is made unbelievable. True enough that MOM and West will try the opposite, but if yesterday was any indication, things are looking difficult for GZ.
BDLR's style is abrupt, but can be effective with the right jury.
Finally, I am even more disappointed in Florida's justice system, and it is obvious now, that BDLR and the State is it determined to win at any cost. The obvious lies to any who had followed the case, and glossing over contrary evidence made it clear the State intends to win, justice and truth be damned.
