Yeah, we discussed this yesterday (in this thread, IIRC). Apparently, Blackwell's reading comprehension skills need some improvement. He's grossly mis-interpreting Rule 3.220 with respect to witnesses listed/unlisted by the State, and the Defense's rights with respect to deposing such witnesses without leave of court.

To be a fly on the wall during a discussion between MOM and West, I would love to know what their strategy is going forward. Though I do believe putting the burden on BDLR is not a bad move, he may get so angry he blows the prosecution's case.

You're right! It should be easy to push BDLR's buttons. He seems quite emotionally unstable and this could hopefully be off-putting to a jury.

If MOM/West play their questioning of the prosecution witnesses correctly they may get BDLR so upset he blows the redirect. :95 :WW

Sure, let the state compile what it wants to put on and give the defense an opportunity to object, and also supplement for completeness. For example, go ahead and play the complete reconstruction video for the jury. Is BDLR going to yell, rant and flap his arms during the video (think Trent)? Or is BDLR going to be forced to STFU while the jury watches and listens, without interruption, to a very logical, rational and believable explanation of events by GZ?

John, I understand what you are saying, but you are making it sound easy. The prosecution it seems to me will try to do what defense attorneys usually which is discredit GZ story.

For instance, he'll put Serino on the stand with the video, but didn't GZ said this and that. Then he will put someone else and repeat. Until GZ's version is made unbelievable. True enough that MOM and West will try the opposite, but if yesterday was any indication, things are looking difficult for GZ.

BDLR's style is abrupt, but can be effective with the right jury.

Finally, I am even more disappointed in Florida's justice system, and it is obvious now, that BDLR and the State is it determined to win at any cost. The obvious lies to any who had followed the case, and glossing over contrary evidence made it clear the State intends to win, justice and truth be damned.

So Nelson, contrary to the evidence code, will allow BDLR to have Serino and others testify about their recollection of the contents of GZ's recorded statements, rather than just playing the available recordings? Yeah, could happen I guess.

Reiterating a previous comment... Traybots really do not "get it"

Faced with evidence that they HAVE been fed a false narrative about Trayvon being an innocent child... rather than CHANGE their evaluation of TM and the case... their main concern is that this EVIDENCE should be BLOCKED.

They are too stupid to see that they are NOT questing for justice at all... not seeking the truth... they are happy to see the truth blocked... all they want is a result.. a conviction based on preconceived (WRONG) notions.

They ARE a LYNCH MOB for sure.

I think they know exactly what they are doing. Too evil, not too stupid.

I agree, John some are evil.

But some are just plain stupid... they don't comprehend information presented to them.. and lack basic ability with logic.. "If A... then B"

Throughout history... mobs have been comprised of mostly stupid people.. susceptible to manipulation by truly evil people.

Mass hysteria... and a group mentality drives them.... The Scheme Team at the fore in this case overall... but at a forum level you have the "Alpha Cretins" I have referred to leading the mass of "worker cretins"

When you have idiots that actually believe the following it really makes you wonder if they actually have an IQ greater that 30.

Quote:
It is worse than stalking! Zimmerman terrified and hunted down a child. This 'f**king coon' (Zimmerman's words - not mine), wasn't going to get away without telling him who was behind the breakins. Zimmerman intended to show the cops how to do their job.

But when he realized he had hunted and terrorized an innocent boy--a child on his way home--then he realized he had to put a bullet through the kid's heart to shut him up. So he drew his gun; he carefully aimed so he wouldn't shoot himself; and he pulled the trigger.

- I goofed on the previous, still having problems with this format --

this is all I wanted to say -

Allowing BDLR free reign in questioning West allowed MOM/West to get their story out. I think it backfired on BDLR.

Except for strategy, there was nothing for MOM/West to hide. BDLR's persistent questioning gave West the opportunity to give carefully worded replies which revealed the mendacity of BDLR and allowed the defense to get more of the story out in front of the media.

What is the exact wording of Nelson's order on the deadline date for an immunity hearing, did it say "pre-trial immunity hearing" or just immunity hearing?

What's your thoughts on Chip's comment that Nelson will rule any future motion on immunity to be "untimely"?
