He's been paid $6,000 from the state so far.

I do agree that it doesn't "look good" that he stands to gain financially, but I think it is now basically understood/accepted that all "experts" gain financially from their testimony and any other additional benefits. I don't know, maybe they should concentrate more on the faulty "science" or standard this man is applying.

But I do hope this questioning will delay the Monday start.

Are they going to bring that same "expert" back after lunch? If so, I think I'll just go find something else to do.

More Break Time reading - this is an excellent article describing the analysis of ALL the "voice experts."

I think they're done with this Owens witness.

I'm not certain, but I believe Dr. Harry Hollien (another voice expert mentioned in the article I linked above) will be testifying. I believe there are also more motions to be heard.

So stay tuned!

From Link Above:

Quote:
Drs. Hollien and Harnsberger were unable to match the screams to either Martin or Zimmerman, even at their “weakest match” level. Their most favorable conclusion for the prosecution’s narrative was that some of the scream may “tend” towards Martin.

It is notable that Dr. Harnsberger agreed to provide evidence produced from his analysis, but despite repeated reminders this data had not been received by the defense as of May 22, more than four weeks later.

The fact that they're paid for their opinion is one thing.. I can almost accept that..But it's the experts who own companies that are somehow related to their testimony that pizzes me off...like this guy and Steven Schafer from the Conrad Murray case. :TF

It seems that logic has completely gone out the window in this case.

Why would Trayvon be screaming? Nobody was assaulting him, were they?

Hearing is back.

Nelson determined to work "even until 6:00pm if that's what it takes."

You're right that Steven Schafer from the Conrad Murray trial is a good example (though I didn't follow that trial in detail, I did read about his part at the time) about financially benefitting.

In this trial, to me, it is very telling that the defense is getting their expert from the respected FBI and the STATE is the one going for the sketchy ones! :40

Based on this one can now easily say that the chances are higher that GZ would have been the one with little kid voice

Did I just hear that right? Did Judge Fudge just rule with the defense and say that they were right and weren't required to hand over the items the prosecution is claiming they didn't hand over? The same stuff Bernie was flapping about yesterday?
