I believe most of the "evidence" the prosecution has came from "off the top of BDLR's head." (Or maybe it was Corey's head?)

The Trayvon Martin Case: Slow Rolling and Hypocrisy
30 Tuesday Oct 2012
Posted by Mike McDaniel in The Trayvon Martin Case

As I’ve repeatedly written, absent the confluence of an ethically challenged prosecutor, racialist politics, media investment in a politically correct—and fanciful–narrative and remarkable and serial disregard for Florida law by the criminal justice system, the Trayvon Martin case would be nothing more than one of many unremarkable shootings justified by self-defense around the nation each year. The case would never have gained garish national prominence, only to essentially and inevitably drop below the national radar when it no longer provides immediate benefits for those using it for their purposes.

The system initially worked. The police investigated, the local prosecutor reviewed their work, determined that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense under Florida law, and did not charge him. There the case should have ended.

With the presidential race to be decided next week and with bigger issues to cover—or as in the case of Benghazi, to ignore—media and public interest in the case has temporarily lagged. My last post on the case, Update 15.2, was on August 9. It has been my practice to post only when there is sufficient new information to justify my reader’s time, and mine, thus this update.

Not sure exactly which bit you are referring to, Packy?

So far this judge is "OK" but as I have pointed out she is behaving a bit dim at times. Not getting what the defence are saying (especially West). There is no doubt at all that the prosecution have hidden evidence right from the start... even in the PCA that failed to include details of GZ's known (and photographed) injuries. Nelson's remedy of Defence being allowed to search FDLE files themselves is no remedy at all. It is the States job to do that. They have the resources to do that. They are supposed to have done that already and passed EVERYTHING they find on to the defence... it's called DISCOVERY.
And the phones!!!!!!
Something (a lot) is very wrong there. Nobody tested the one found at the scene? Nobody has ping logs to confirm the critical alleged DeeDee call? That is about the only evidence the State have and they have NOT confirmed it?
And the games with Crump? A whole can of worms in itself.

I was questioning the "we" about being true based on what the poster from your link Selfdefenseadavocate over at Treehouse said on Oct. 27. Said the judge slipped and said "we" referring to the prosecution.

I'm not so sure I like this judge.

I did say way back that I thought a lot of this was political. Can you tell I hate Corey. Bringing this degree of murder up and then her charging Mariss who shot at her abusive husband without hurting him. Ugh.

OK Packy... got it :24

I don't especially like this judge... but I at least think she COULD do a fair job with this trial now whereas I was sure Lester was not fair at all.

And I do not like Cory what-so-ever. She is devious and manipulative and seems to have an agenda of her own.

There have been links to this blog posted at CTH.

http://stillselfdefensestillnotguilty.wordpress.com/

Today is a "review" of Leathermans blog.... a rabid bloger who is regarded as a "GURU" by Trayvonites.

Quoting the close:
Fred allows all manner of low brain power sycophants comment on his blog. He knows that conspiracy theorists like the always laughable Malisha are full of wind. We spent quite some time here talking about it. They have no true facts to back up their assertions. They have no clue how the legal process works. They do not realize that the Supreme Court of the United States is the final word when it comes to gagging lawyers. And when they run out of facts to bastardize and misunderstand, they resort to insults. Fat, crazy, medicated, sociopath, racist. Of course none of it is true but they have to settle in their minds what they believe or the true facts of the case will destroy their way of thinking. Why then, does he not correct them? He needs their approval.

Without them he would still be a nobody from the sticks of Kentucky.

The blogger seems knowledgeable of the law, has a sense of humour, and understands what a travesty these Crumped up charges against GZ are .... a winning trifecta.

Strangely there is no name or identification of the blogger at all?

WHO IS THIS MASKED MAN?

Hi Ho Silver away.........

George Zimmerman's brother: We're no 'family of racists'
Robert Zimmerman Jr. speaks to local news media.

By Arelis R. Hernández, Orlando Sentinel
5:11 p.m. EDT, November 1, 2012

George Zimmerman's older brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., told a group of Hispanic journalists Thursday that he is confronting a "tidal wave of misinformation" about his family because of the publicity surrounding his brother's case.

Robert Zimmerman Jr. spoke publicly in Orlando because he thought it was time to rebut the charges of racism that have mischaracterized his family, Zimmerman said.

"At the beginning, we couldn't speak publicly to the media to defend ourselves against the allegations that we are family of racists and that George is a racist," Robert Zimmerman Jr. said in Spanish to members of the Central Florida chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.

"We didn't grow up with racism,'' he added. "We grew up with a Latino mother and white father. Theirs was an interracial love story."

George Zimmerman's team to question more witnesses
Jeff Weiner, Staff Writer
12:28 p.m. EST, November 6, 2012

George Zimmerman's defense team plans to interview several of the still-unnamed civilian witnesses in his second-degree murder case later this week, according to new court documents.

On Thursday, Zimmerman's attorneys will depose five numbered witnesses listed by prosecutors — witnesses 3, 12, 13, 19 and 21. Two more — witnesses 1 and 2 — will be deposed on Friday.

A Sanford police captain and a private investigator are also listed on the new deposition schedules.

FYI – The Travelers lawsuit against the HOA and Sybrina has been dismissed without prejudice. It appeared on the docket today, but is dated last Friday, 11/2. The “without prejudice” tells us that there has not been a settlement yet. Still thinking about what the dismissal suggests.

Then if it's without prejudice it's not a permanent and they could bring it up again.

Yes.
I am not sure of exactly what is happening... but for now this first "shake down" attempt by the Scheme Team has failed.

And as far as I know the first real law suit by GZ vs NBC is still ongoing :24

George Zimmerman Presents Witness: Defense to Keep Witness Names in Trayvon Martin Case Anonymous

On Wednesday, Mark O'Mara, defense attorney to George Zimmerman, said that his witness would be given numbers as identities. O'Mara will submit a list of additional witness to Judge Debra Nelson on Thursday, while keeping their names unknown.

In October, O'Mara presented a list of police involved in the investigation of the murder of Trayvon Martin as well as his client's arrest at the trial.

The police usually provide testimonies for the state. But according to The Hispanic Business, O'Mara will be using this unusual strategy in defending his client who is being charged with second-degree murder of 17-year-old Martin.

Rumour has it.... Eric Holder is resigning as AG

A little off topic, but political manoeuvres are at play in this case.... getting rid of Holder can only help :24

He was open about pushing "social issues"

Prosecutors release FBI records to Zimmerman's attorneys

By Rene Stutzman, Orlando Sentinel
6:15 p.m. EST, November 8, 2012

Two weeks ago, George Zimmerman's attorneys complained that prosecutors weren't releasing FBI records and other investigation details, but Thursday prosecutors filed paperwork showing they'd coughed them up.

The newly-released evidence includes five FBI reports, 10 reports by employees of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and details and notes from the files of FDLE scientists who did DNA and other evidence analysis.

Prosecutors also disclosed the identities of a dozen new state witnesses, although Assistant State Attorney Bernie de la Rionda characterized most as category "b" or "c" witnesses, meaning there are not expected to be prominent at trial.

One is the physician's assistant who treated Zimmerman. Three others are Zimmerman's neighbors.

The new information comes two weeks after a hearing in Sanford at which defense attorneys Mark O'Mara and Don West complained that prosecutors were withholding evidence.

I am surprised that no one is making more of this than what they have. IIRC, the released FBI report was turned over to the Prosecution around the first week of April. I can't imagine that the rest of their reports did not follow either with that package or shortly thereafter. The phone logs are all included with Breton's (sp) report/analysis.

By all appearances, the Prosecution has been holding out. It confirms MOM's argument in court. IMO, this is HUGE.

I am hoping the reason that the Prosecution has been sitting on them is because they contain more favorable evidence for Zimmerman. Even the "anti" sites aren't saying much about them.

It may be because of the storm issues, political issues, or whatever...there doesn't seem to be much "chatter" anywhere, regardless of the stance on this case.

It remains to be seen what is in these FBI reports.
(They are listed but the content may not be made public for a month)
I would not be surprised if BDLR is STILL holding out.

I think MOM and West ARE making the point.. in court and on the record.... about the prosecution obfuscation ... I am not sure Judge Nelson is getting it, but it's on the record so may come back to bite Bernie on the Bum :24

As far as the lack of chatter goes...
MOM outlined the Scheme Team Shenanigans very well and forcefully at the last hearing... I imagine that the exposure has got them worried.
Their tactics and false narrative is exposed a little more now.
Mom never was just "chattering" IMO.. he was quite circumspect in what he said and posted publically, with the Scheme Team keeping Schtum there is nothing for MOM to respond to. :37

I like Mark O'Mara and have huge respect for him. IMO, Sonner and Uhrig did some damage before he took over and it has taken months to undo that. IMO, it took until July/August just for him to move from a reactive state to a proactive one, publicity wise.

He seems to have a very detailed plan on how he is approaching this and is not one to sprint haphazardly to the goal line.

Do you know when Reciprocal Discovery will begin? Shouldn't it be 30-45 days before the April Self-Defense Immunity Hearing?

On another note:
http://www.flcourts18.org/PDF/Press_Rel ... %20ASA.pdf

Richard Mantei, is he running interference between Corey and de la Rionda? Curious as to your take on this. I have never seen his name on any of the paperwork. If he has/was withdrawn, wouldn't they have to file a notice? He has been a curiosity to me since last June.

Did they set a date for defence to start discovery? I half remember they did?
If you are right about the 30-45 days.. then it would start 30 -45 days before 26th April... so FEBRUARY next year?
If I was MOM I would supply NOTHING until BDLR has coughed up some of the outstanding items missing from State Discovery.

The deadline for completion is set.
viewtopic.php?f=48&t=195&p=17024#p16740

As far as Mantei, Cory, Wolfinger etc goes..... the machinations of Florida Judiciary/Prosecution is above my pay scale :24

I agree that the assistant Mantei could well be a "buffer" for Cory.
(That reminds me of the Senate Hearings scene in The Godfather.. where the button man Wilie Cicci testifies:

He never received orders directly from Vito, Sonny or Michael; he said there were always "buffers" between the button men and the Don
