That's what I'm talkin' about. Roux is throwing fire bombs.

Rapid--fire and hitting the target like Israeli missiles.

Hua !!

Thanks June :give

I'll put a copy in reference thread as well.

I saw somebody post Defense Heads... but it turned out to be from Bail hearing. I did post the link over yonder, but We still need a link to the proper document.

Barry Roux continues today.

I get the impression that Nel has already indicated he wants to do a rebuttal..... Roux says that that can only be on issues of law.. but we all know Nel will push beyond that given half a chance. I hope Judge Masipa keeps the little humping wire-haired terrier in check.

I noticed yesterday another example of Nel (apparently intentionally) misinterpreting translation from Afrikaans. Nel has shown himself to be fluent in Afrikaans and so should KNOW the correct translation. Yesterday he claimed Va der Merwe "woke up" when she actually sad "got up".. Nel needing to give false impression that she drifted back to sleep.. when her evidence was that she was awake for the entire period from 2:00am through the event.

The phrase "Crafty as a shit-house rat" come to mind in relation to Nel.

I think Barry is doing a good job today, looking at body language too, it would not surprise md 7f the judge has already decided.

Hi Wroughead... hope are feel a bit better?

Agree... Roux is doing great. Classic rope-a-dope.. prior.. now on attack.. Nel can NOT have another go :) What a little shit Nel has been all along.
Note Roux is saying a lot of things that I have been banging on about all along. eg This rial SHOULD have started accepting OP version and arguing Culpable Homicide. Most of the 5 months was a waste.. Nel maintaining that OP never thought there was an intruder.

I will be attending hospital on Sep 4th not looking forward to it, and think I am waiting too long, but thats how it is these days.

Yesterday I was frustrated with Nel (NOTHING NEW THERE).

I wonder how long it will be before we hear what verdict the judge has arrived at, bearing in mind, she has to find on the gun charges as well as the killing.

I will add that I think it is easy for all of us who are, for want of a better expression, able bodied, our reactions to "flight or fight" will be entirely different to someone with artificial legs, who's had them since a child. I have always thought his responses to things and situations would be different even to that of his friends, for that alone I think benefit of the doubt should apply.

I got into a bit of a twitter discussion (argument) with a female of the "Justice4Reeva" type.

CONVINCED that Domestic Violence is the issue.. when I said there is none and that is a daft notion.. no evidence.. the only evidence she cited was the shooting itself :wall

Kinda pretzel logic. The DV seen as proof that OP shot knowingly, but the only evidence is to already accept (with no evidence) that OP shot knowingly :95

This is a SA Journalist... one of those who spread the false logic.

Her parting comment was "well there is a DEAD WOMAN involved.. as if some how her being shot on purpose makes her less dead?

Finally I'm starting to see Roux earn the big bucks. He's systematically dismantling the sand castle and leaving it in ruins. Brilliantly using the must exclude all other reasonable possibilities of every material fact issue and supported by the objective facts. It's being executed like a chess master.

The point that was a gut blow was the inability of Bergers to hear or discern male from female (audibly or intelligibly) screaming while Reeva was in the toilet. That puts the boot to the johnny-come-lately twosome who embellished their testimony unquestionably to screw Oscar. It irrefutably makes Oscar the screamer.

This is almost the epitome of a hard case to lay out in a nice easy to understand oratory because of the male/female screaming sounds of a man that sounds like a woman and far worse, two sounds by different actions that both sound like gunshots. It ends up almost sounding like a Who's on First Abbott and Costello routine. But Roux is taking his time to clarify the discrepancies as effectively as possible and showing reasonable doubt in megatons.

All he has to do now is bring it home showing Oscar, and impressing Masipa, that due to all the mitigating circumstances of his life and disability, he was in an altered state of consciousness and only fearful and protective of both his life and Reeva's when the gun discharged and turn out the lights.

Nel is looking like Custer at Little Big Horn. Boy I've waited a long time for this.

If anybody who has an honest bone in their body and not some unfathomable perversion to see Pistorius convicted, doesn't see the gutter scraping prick Nel is when he tried to withhold the photograph of the extension cord, they should someday be innocently charged and be the victim of a prick like that themselves.

I have thought at times throughout when watching Barry Roux, that he was bound to show how he has justified his reputation and fees, now I know.
His defensive orations about his client are superb and, unlike his advesary in court very articulate, sensible and measured.

I am impressed.

As for your twitter convo some people won't see the woods for the trees.

Thanks Nettles :86

Nice to have you on board with your skills in finding stuff... it's what I first noticed about you back in the CTH-GZ days.

I will post the link in reference thread as well.

CLEARLY a WIN to Roux

243 beats 109 pages :lol

Seriously, I have only glanced... but as I have felt throughout this trial .....things are bizarrely reversed. It is the DEFENCE presenting a detailed case.. timelines etc.. Nel is the one RESPONDING. Nel seems to take the logically daft position that IF he disproves Defence Version (which he has not), then the State version becomes true? In fact I guess Nel imagines that any old other version is true. Nel has NEVER presented a comprehensive, detailed State version. He has done little more than pull a vague notion of an "argument" out of his arse.. with no evidence to support it.
