The fact is that witnesses thought they heard a woman.. perception includes expectations.

You probably dont know details of time line , Nettles... the sound that Nel (and his witnesses) think were Reeva screaming were at a time AFTER she was dead. There are two sets of bangs... Nel has no explanation of first set.. claims second set were gunshots. That time is simply impossible in light of all that happened after the shots.
Defence on other hand sensible claim first set of bangs were shots.. second set were bat on door.

Nel is very big on picking sentences or even single words out of context and imposing his version of what the speaker meant.

Bear in mind Nel spends most of his time nit-picing fine detail in OP version.... but Nels version is that NONE of it happened. He kinda shoots himself in the foot on that.

To this day the State have not provided a detailed version... they say there was an argument between OP and Reeva.. but not when it started, over what, how it proceeded, the detail at critical shooting time etc. Reeva had a meal around 1:00 am or later? A meal? what meal? where? no evidence of dishes or food around the house etc

It's weird (and daft) that Nel has obviously read the Defense response to his close

I thought the submitted in writing what they would present.. as in a copy of the speech that Nel is delivering now. He is not. He is referencing what the defense will say tomorrow?

The very basis of the Judicial system is that State make a case.. the defense respond?

That was very odd. Telling the court what a prosecutor should do in a court in South Africa. Where a defendant has an attorney, it's not up to him (prosecutor) to play chess against himself?

If he has evidence that supports the defendant, he doesn't have to point it out to the defense. The defendant can read.
