I'm afraid you are right, and that is very depressing. If they went up the list from the bottom, i.e. "yes, he fired a gun; guilty", and don't even think about sd till the murder charge it is a definite miscarriage of justice. As you or someone else comments below, we will be seeing this trial play out again in a year or so when the appeal goes through,

They are hung up on SD on murder charge... but did not bother with SD for other charges and so find him Guilty.

I think this is the WRONG way to look at this case...As I mentioned... you can not view the other charges until you decide on main charge. If they had found that was SD... then the other charges, should not apply (IMO) because they stemmed from Dunn using legitimate force in the first instance, or not, as the case may be. but IMO you can not even consider the other charges in isolation of the first?

CNN has been instigating anger for months, maybe years, now. CNN/HLN are nothing but propaganda machines. I used to watch them 24/7 .... until I saw them finally for what they are.

How can they evaluate what transpired until they establish if Dunn was firing his gun in self Defence (to save his own life)... Hitting a bystander in such circumstance would be unfortunate.. but not a crime? And... IF Dunn was acting in self defence.. with Davis the aggressor, then surely the other 3 might be regarded as accomplices? Whatever... IMO you can NOT reach a verdict on counts 2 - 5 until after you decide count #1

The whole verdict is fucked up IMHO

Sentencing (tentative date) March 24 9AM

I think this all goes to excessive force. He put the other 3 in danger by continuing to fire once the initial threat was gone.

I can sort of go along with last 3 shots being considered as the critical consideration for the Guilty verdicts. But..... I think it could be seen as part of the SD... who knows if they did not decide on SD.. and how far that extends?

It is going to be hard (if not impossible) to find untainted Jurors as of now.... and that will get even harder going forward as this case is argued in the (biased) media :eek
