As I indicated over at Leatherman's Lounge probably a year or so ago when passing on something found on "not one of their usual haunts":

Information is where you find it.

So no DP in this case. The info jogs my memory (I knew that stuff from Arias trial) :doh

No DP qualified jury required will speed up selection process. In fact it could well be a quick final stage... separate out 16 from the 60, with challenges as they go..... easily done before lunch.

As usual Angie is over charging. Wouldn't they need to prove that he set out to kill Jordan that night? Isn't that the premeditated part? I think this was reactionary and should be second degree, not first.

Michael Dunn's jail phone calls once again in court
By Derek Gilliam Wed, Feb 5, 2014 @ 12:36 pm | updated Wed, Feb 5, 2014 @ 12:46 pm

Lawyers for The Florida Times-Union and First Coast News will again argue for the release of 47-year-old Michael David Dunn’s jail phone calls.

The evidentiary hearing will take place at 1 p.m. in courtroom 212 of the Duval County Courthouse Wednesday.

Magistrate John Sampson will hear arguments from the State Attorney’s Office about why the records will cost about $6,000 and will take between 9 and 10 weeks to prepare.

The perfect jury: Jacksonville legal experts talk about the Dunn trial's jurors
By Derek Gilliam Tue, Feb 4, 2014 @ 8:16 pm | updated Wed, Feb 5, 2014 @ 11:35 am

Legal experts say jury selection is an inexact science.

Attorneys dig into a potential juror’s history looking for signs of bias or prejudice in the jury pool. Some rely on historical stereotypes in judging how a juror will rule. But some say this could be a pitfall. Others look for individual traits and try to peer into a potential juror’s mind.

Sometimes a lawyer will try anything to gain an edge, including the use of a psychic.

Whether it’s by powers of the occult or old-fashion interview skills, the jury selection in Michael David Dunn’s first-degree murder trial continues, and Jacksonville’s legal community is weighing in on the dream jury for both sides.

Once they select a Jury, and they are sequestered... I am not worried about what info the Media gets.

I think Corey is playing a variation on "hide the sausage" .... her version is "Hide the evidence"... from both the media and the defence, and I hope she is thwarted in that, and faces some sort of consequence for her actions. But... I have little sympathy for "The Media" who selectively report, and who are "useful idiots" themselves when it comes to promoting a false narrative... one that suits their own "agenda".

You don't fool me hussy!

I'm late to this, but I think if the defense can prove their opening, lots of reasonable doubt.
