Two police officers and a passer-by have been shot dead by a gunman who witnesses claim shouted "Allahu Akbar" during a cafe attack in Belgium.
After killing the three victims the shooter fled and took a woman hostage at a high school before being shot by police.
The officers and the passer-by were gunned down at Cafe des Augustins in Liege city centre at about 10.30am on Tuesday.
Two other police officers were wounded.
Witnesses said the gunman was armed with two weapons and shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he carried out the attack, VTM reported.
The gunman fled and took a female cleaner hostage at the Athenee de Waha high school.
