They are NOW reporting MS804 did not swerve as previously reported. This is source today from BBC, also reported by The Guardian and Newsweek, others. :roll

Egyptian officials did not observe the doomed EgyptAir flight swerve and change direction before it disappeared, an Egyptian aviation official has said.

Greece's defence minister said the plane turned 90 degrees then 360-degrees before plummeting into the sea.

Neither EgyptAir nor the Ministry of Civil Aviation have commented on the plane's final movements.

The reason for the discrepancy between the Greek and the Egyptian aviation official's accounts of the crash is not clear.

EgyptAir crash: Signals picked up from deep in Mediterranean Sea 'could be from flight MS804's black boxes'
Lizzie Dearden

A French company has confirmed its special undersea search ship has picked up signals emanating from EgyptAir flight 804’s black boxes in the Mediterranean Sea.

The missing flight data recorders hold vital information for officials investigating what caused the plane to crash last month, killing everyone on board.

The company, Alseamar, said the Laplace ship had begun searching for signals at mid-day on Tuesday and "less than 24 hours were necessary ... to locate signals from a detector attached to one of the recorders of flight MS804".

The French air accident investigation agency BEA said it is impossible to determine whether the signals are from the flight's data or voice recorder.

A progress report from the Egyptian Aircraft Accident Investigation Committee previouly said a vessel had received signals during searches using sonar equipment.

EgyptAir MS804 crash investigators find missing black box recorder from doomed flight
16:33, 16 Jun 2016. Updated 16:33, 16 Jun 2016
By Abigail O'Leary

Investigators have discovered the black box voice recorder from doomed EgyptAir flight MS804 that went missing last month.

The plane disappeared above the Mediterranean Sea on its way from Paris to Cairo.

Egypt's investigation committee confirmed the cockpit recorder had been found and pulled from the sea.

Search teams from the Egypt Investigation Committee were forced to salvage the recorder in stages due to the extent of damage.

It said in a statement that a specialist vessel owned by Mauritius-based Deep Ocean Search had, however, been able to recover the memory unit from the black box.

What they have found is Cockpit Voice Recorder.
The flight data recorder, which stores technical parameters on the flight, hasn’t been recovered yet.
