Curtis Wayne Wright will be moved to Charlotte County after alleging he was in danger at the Lee County Jail.
Wright has admitted his involvement in the killing of Dr. Teresa Sievers, an Estero doctor, in 2015. He signed a plea deal with the state attorney's office.
According to investigators, Wright and Jimmy Rodgers killed the doctor on behalf of her husband Mark Sievers, who is accused of planning her death. Sievers has been held in Lee County Jail since 2015 awaiting trial on first-degree murder charges.
Lee County Circuit Court Judge Bruce Kyle ordered Wright transported to Charlotte County Jail after an emergency hearing Thursday afternoon. The hearing was called after Wright sent him a letter alleging Sievers was working with the Lee County Sheriff's Office to hurt him.
Wright also accused Sievers of planning to hurt him with the help of Mark Young, an ex-Lee County deputy who is an inmate at the Lee County Jail.
Young once led deputies to an hours-long standoff at his Buckingham home.
