You know I didn't think they were allowed to profit when they were in prison - she's been found guilty it's just the sentence surely we are waiting for or did I miss something. I would be disgusted if I thought she is allowed (or any inmate) to sell stuff like this.

Jodi Arias due back in court ahead of penalty retrial



PHOENIX — Jodi Arias is due in court for a hearing ahead of her planned Sept. 29 penalty-phase retrial.

The trial had been scheduled to begin last week but a judge allowed a postponement after Arias decided she wanted to represent herself. Arias has since given up her right to serve as her own attorney and instead will allow her court-appointed lawyers to handle the case.

She is set for court Monday morning. Media lawyers will also argue again for live camera coverage of the retrial.

Convicted Killer Jodi Arias Selling Glasses She Wore During Trial

Here's a chance to look at life through the lenses of a convicted killer.

Jodi Arias, the Arizona woman who was convicted of stabbing, shooting and slitting the throat of her ex-boyfriend, Travis Alexander, is auctioning the glasses she wore during her 2013 trial.

"Get ready to own a one-of-a-kind piece of history," Arias' website says.

The starting bid for the spectacles begins at $500. The auction will close on September 24. The website says 100 percent of the profits will go to a Phoenix-based non-profit, however it does not name the charity.

It's not the first time Arias has apparently tried to sell an item online from prison.

In January 2013, shortly after her murder trial began, Arias' jailhouse art was listed for sale online. At that time, descriptions listed with the art noted that the profits would go to costs associated with the trial, including paying for Arias’ family to travel from their homes in California to Arizona for the five-month trial.

You know I remember watching her wearing those glasses, and I don't know if that was deliberate because in the States the defense will stop at nothing to make their clients look meek and mild, but those glasses went way out of fashion over here in the 50s, talk about old lace haha. it just amazed me that she would wear those.

What amazes me even more is that anyone in their right mind would bid for them just because of who they were supposed to belong to.

ABC in Phoenix have labelled them as 'iconic' no wonder I'm laughing.
