I want the jury to ask Samuels if Jodi could have PSTD whether or not the murder was done in Self-Defense or because of Jealousy. In other words, can Jodi have the diagnosis of PSTD whether or not she did the killing in self-defense (Not Guilty) or jealousy (Guilty)?

Dr Samuels said "yes" to the self defense. It is traumatic to have to defend yourself when someone you love attacks you.

He also said the perpetrator could also have PTSD.

Yes, but what's important is if he says YES to both...that the PTSD could be due to either a self-defense Killing or a Jealousy Murder. In that case, WHAT GOOD IS THE PSYCHOLOGIST TO THE DEFENSE?

I found the following quote interesting, and couldn't agree with it more. It's why IMHO psychology plays a pseudo-role in important legal issues and can lead to wrong verdicts.

"With respect to science, human psychology faces an immense obstacle posed by its focus on the mind. Human psychology is defined as "the study of the mind, occurring partly via the study of behavior", but the mind is not a physical organ, it's an abstract concept, and measurements of the mind's state are indirect and subjective (by way of a subject's verbal reports, for example). This makes psychology, as defined, a branch of metaphysics [philosophy], not physics [material]. (Words in brackets are mine.)

Metaphysics being more a study of philosophy and physics a study of the material.

I have little doubt that Mr. Samuels is a 'nice guy' and wants to help all these criminals (giving self-help book to Jodi). But his opinion, even based on 'tests' (lying or not) should, to my way of thinking, not be relevant in a court of law. Maybe in therapy, but not court.

Thanks, Rumpole for keeping us up to date! Nothing happens all day when I'm free, but then it the trial starts just at the time things begin popping here at home.

Here is a July 2011 document filed by Nurmi - trying to come to a settlement with the State for 2nd Degree Murder. In it, is their attempt at threatening to cause much pain to Travis' family, etc. should JA go to trial and expose the different things about their relationship.

A phone with the ringtone of a braying jackass just went off in the gallery. The baliff escorted a young lady out of the Arias courtroom.

A nasty client with nasty lawyers... but I guess it's standard to throw in avoiding all the court drama for the family. Any little excuse. In some cases where the evidence is less overwhelming.. factors like that would have some weight. In this case clearly not.. and it didn't work.

Can some of you see Nancy Grace's rerun later? Something about a reflection in the "eye" of Travis in the last picture of him when alive. Some expert I think said he SEES TWO PEOPLE in the reflection of his eye!! The one where he is looking front on, in the shower.

WE all knew there was something strange about that last picture of him alive. Looked scared we thought. Was it you kj that agreed? Just like most sickos. They want trophies so they can relieve their thrilling moment!! He looks so scared - intense fear of a man knowing he is about to die -- RIGHT NOW!!!

I think Jodias is very pleased with herself and her work. Look at her in the police station. Head stands, singing, Yoga poses, talking to herself, going thru trash, sitting on the floor with handcuffs on, throwing her hair around to make it look "fuller", asking if she can clean before her "mug shot"? She is VERY PLEASED with herself, I think. No regrets.

I also said that the look Travis had was so eerie and disturbing in that last shower picture. It was a look of such despair.

I am going to look at it again, MM and Remote.

In the meantime ... I think I have had quite enough of these clowns for one day, but will see N. G.'s rerun again. But for now I am thinking ...

I really hope this is the (she thinks) artsy Jodi in about 8 months ... in prison!

Her team and she have been tap dancing their way thru this entire trial!!

Watching I.D. A guy named George is being stalked by his old girlfriend Cheryl.
She cut the brakes on his "bike". Brother had borrowed it.... dumped it on the side of the
road in leaves. Was ok.
Dr. said the WORST thing you can do to a stalker (like that), is get a NEW WOMAN. He started dating,
like Travis. She added "There is no turning back with people fixated like that. They FOCUS on **NOTHING** but their OBJECT, everyday."
She came on his job with a disguise, and a gun. He worked alone. Struggle ... he got the gun ... she escaped to the parking lot. He followed to try to hold her for the Police. C. pulled out another gun ... shot and killed him!! She knelt down over him and shot herself in the heart.

Couldn't BEAR the thought of him being on this planet with anyone else. Couldn't be with him in life, so she tied them together then in death. The family said they are sharing their story on the program to show stalking can happen to anyone ... even a man.

God THEY ARE OUT THERE!!!!!
