Are we voting actual days or just deliberation days?

Maybe they can decide to deliberate over the weekend. It sounds like they can. They make their own schedule. Maybe we will have a verdict today. Maybe they will stay as late as they need to.

Can someone clue me in on the penalty phase? Under what circumstances does it apply? When does it start? etc.?

TIA. I have only caught bits and pieces of the trial, but did see most of the closing arguments.

I actually heard 30 to 60 days. I sure hope that's not true. Seems to long to me.

Based on other cases.

Penalty phase date(s) has to be set by judge... I presume ASAP... but I think it can be weeks into future.

IF guilty of Murder1.. then it may be a several day thing... like a mini trial... including IMPACT statements by victims relatives

Jury get to deliberate again on DP or no DP

Perhaps Stabby may be allowed to speak... if she chooses to?

If she gets life w/o it is much cheaper for us taxpayers than paying for all her many appeals for the DP.

Jane Velez Mitchell is on the front steps hoping to interview the family members.

I like her, but I think she should give them all some space. It can't be easy for Jodi's or Travis' family.

Hmmmm Wow - Jane right in your face - now? And if they say no comment they look rude?
Anybody BUT the family I think... they can even say now.

Wow wonder if they will take a vote now ... AND WHAT IF NOT SPLIT???? Wouldn't that be something!!!
NO NO let her STEW ... and wait and wait. She should suffer like Travis did.

Will not deliberate over the week-end.

I have mixed feelings about DP... I kinda think its "too easy" that they should suffer being locked up... but many seem to get used to incarceration and so not suffer much anguish.

In THIS case I think the butchering make it extreme.. as Martinez said she "killed him" 3 times... and made him suffer horribly... so I want to see the DP.. as an added penalty for that.

Also... the lies and the smug face are an added annoyance... same as with Casey Anthony.

The juror that wore headphones is one of the alternates.

The ponytail younger girl who took lots of notes is another.

and the third is a 50ish woman who some thought might be Mormon

Hmmmm maybe she should live. Not sure. But a Psychopath will probably just adapt, con others, (dupers delight),
get great enjoyment doing that.

OH I changed my mind! She will be happy doing her "art/copying", read her beloved books. Never having to work again... supported by the state of AZ, and all that free time. WHAT she always wanted, to be a kept woman - and can do the TWO THINGS she likes most, her "copying pictures" and "reading". Is so in love with herself she will probably write books. Many. After all - Einstein...
