I agree....insanity would be the only thing that makes sense. How in the world did she ever think she could get away with it. I don't think Travis had one single enemy, did he? (Except for Jodi)

Thanks! I couldn't remember the name of the site at work. The link at Dan Abrams' site is a good one too. It's commercial free also. Besides, I adore Dan Abrams, so I'm happy to give his site some traffic!

I'm watching all the HLN prime time shows right now. There are still people who think it was premeditated. I'll be floored if the jury agrees and she doesn't get Murder 1.

If they can prove premeditation, she gets murder 1. That just may happen if Juan can also really emphasize justice...justice...justice for Travis. Juan needs to take any sympathy the jury has for Jodi away from them.

Quite a gal eh?

But, I guess any of us could commit the murder of a big guy AND take pictures too all thru it, IF you stab him in the HEART FIRST!

People aren't thinking how I think sometimes. They think "Why didn't she kill him when he first opened the door?"

I really believe she gave it one more college try to get him to TAKE HER to CANCUN - to TAKE HER BACK! They had their "party", and then he continued to stand firm! No, he wasn't going to take her! He was taking that other new girl he was trying to get. Jodi RUINED it for him with the original one he wanted to get to know, the blonde who testified.
Then her plan "B" (no doubt this back up plan was all scripted for weeks) if Travis refused -and she got him crouched down - sitting in the shower ... then the heart STAB! He would have bled out I think from that even if NOTHING else was done to him. Same with the throat slashing too.

She is crying because she is really caught and it does help regarding the D.P. if females cry on the stand, I heard. They are only crying for themselves though ...
GIVE ME STRENGTH!!!! :95

You know, I think the jury would have easily bought an insanity defense. After all, wouldn't Jodi have to be crazy to do what she did? But I do believe that the 'mental illness' in this case was just an 'evil' that played out in the form of an obsession. Otherwise she could not be held responsible.

Yes! And it's Juan's job to change that one mind! :52

One woman on the Jane V. M. show who knew Jodi said at a dinner when Travis was presenting something on stage, Jodi said... "Oh look at him. Isn't he wonderful!!!!" THIS was AFTER they had broken up.

She became mental.... totally obsessed .... and sooo dangerous as we learned.

That film ... Fatal Attraction. That was so scary to me ... real mental illness of some kind.

This book used to be used to teach Psychiatrists. I don't know if they still do.
It is easy enough to understand ... I found it fascinating, but lent it to someone.

:28 book ...

I was thinking Fatal Attraction, too, but this is so, so, so much worse.

I think I copied this suggestion of books from an article I read during or after the Casey Anthony trial:

If you're interested in the games that female sociopaths and also more genteel-appearing male sociopaths play in mainstream society to fool others, "The Sociopath Next Door" by Dr. Martha Stout, "People Of The Lie" by Dr. M. Scott Peck, "Snakes In Suits: When Sociopaths Go To Work" by Paul Babiak and Robert D. Hare and "The Gift Of Fear" by Gavin DeBecker are all great reads.

I haven't read any of them yet, but I'll add The Mask of Sanity to it!

RT: It's a great movie, but very disturbing.

Joni: It's ONLY $57.63 on Amazon.com :94

It's probably so expensive because it's a college course book. I check to see if there was a cheaper Kindle version, but it's not available on Kindle. :62

Have you ever done something you really really really wish you hadn't done? Well, how would you like to be in Jodi's shoes? Good Lord, when she shot him in the head she shot herself in the foot.

So I'm thinking....if Jodi wanted some real revenge w/o consequences why couldn't she have just paid a couple of thugs to beat the living daylights out of Travis and called it even?

She couldn't do that because then he would still be alive to go on and be with someone else. And she wasn't having that!

On one hand, I would quickly vote for insanity...but on the other, I don't know if I could live with myself knowing that one day she could be released. She is pure danger!
