I'd give anything to know the deepest thoughts of Jodi's mother. She and her twin appear to be in agreement on things. Maybe we'll get a book out of this that'll tell us a lot we don't know about Jodi.

She must have been a handful to raise.

MM - I am SO curious about how it was to raise this girl, too! She sounds like she was quite a handful, dropping out of high school at 17 and going to live with an older, loser boyfriend. Her life went downhill from there in a big way. I'll bet she was a quiet, rebellious, sneaky girl. :93

Joni - she sure does sound like the "daughter from Hell" :HSG

At a surface glance, (besides the part where they are the family of a female killer), there is probably much information to cull from their family dynamic. The "twin" thing is always interesting. Also, Jodi is the oldest of their family with an older half-sibling from her father's previous marriage. Was it a bad divorce? Did anything "overlap" with Jodi's mother and dad before he got the divorce? Child custody payments for the father's first child? The restaurants failing and life changing (it's easy to go from poor to rich, but from rich to poor is rough!).

Lots of book material, I'm sure.

ALERT!!!
Please don't forget tomorrow night - MONDAY - on HLN, AFTER DARK. That's the HLN program where they will have life size rooms of Travis' bathroom and walk in closet to re-enact the slaughter!
I saw the walls going up. Her "story" is locked into her testimony. GOOD pin down Ms. Teflon who always leaves the door open like -
"I think ... To the best of my knowledge... Probably ... That's when the fog set in..."

Good MM. That should be eye opening. I hope Juan sees this and decides to follow suit.
He IS a good little lawyer.

There is a place on Facebook supporting him. He doesn't run it ... just "fans" I guess.

I hope "IT" doesn't give him a heartattack. She is so difficult, slippery, arrogant, and insane!
Juan seems to take it all in stride... never losing site of his job ... finding JUSTICE for Travis!
God bless guys like Juan who wear the WHITE HATS!! :64

Apparently, from what I understand in reading around, today's hearing is about testimony from Dr. Samuels that was previously denied by the judge (the defense wanted him to opine whether JA's behavior was "reactive" vs "premeditated") that they want to be admitted. Seems now, they have come up with different wording/synonyms ( "Instrumental murder vs. expressive murder") to basically "explain" the same thing. :Q28

In other words, yet another waste of time, :93

Per HLN: "Instrumental murder vs. expressive murder" to be subject of hearing on Monday.

Judge says hearing will begin once jury arrives (11:ooam Arizona time)

Wilmott says Dr. Samuels will not testify regarding that anymore. Judge has denied the "expressive vs instrumental testimony."

Judge in her seat. It's on!

Wilmott questioning Dr. Samuels on "Global Transient Amnesia." Dr. says this is what Arias suffers from. :Q28

Recap of Samuels' testimony:

Samuels testified that chemical changes in the brain, which typically occur when a person is faced with a life threatening situation, could have caused Arias’ inability to remember every detail of that fatal day.

While Arias testified she remembers shooting Travis in the face, she claimed she can’t remember stabbing him 29 times or slitting his throat.

Samuels also testified that the many lies Arias told authorities to conceal her involvement in the killing could be linked to symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Samuels conducted 12 visits with Arias over a three-year period. He testified that Arias had even lied to him during their first visit when she told him two intruders had killed Travis.

Arias created that story because she could not deal with what she had done to Travis, Samuels testified.

Samuels also stated he believes that Arias’ Post Traumatic Stress Disorder was brought on by an acute stress disorder she developed as the result of the killing.

Dissociative Transient Amnesia: Specific beginning and specific end time and patient cannot trigger the memories within that time.
