4:48 p.m. ET: Samuels said when he first met Arias he told him intruders killed Alexander. Eventually, Samuels confronted Arias that her story was false, and then she told him about killing Alexander in self-defense.
4:46 p.m. ET: The attorneys are at a sidebar with the judge.
4:45 p.m. ET: Samuels said the point of his interviews was to diagnosis Arias. He used his extensive notes from his interviews with Arias to make a diagnosis.
4:43 p.m. ET:
"I try to develop a rapport, I try to make the person feel comfortable with me and I find that that extracts the most accurate information," said Samuels.
4:42 p.m. ET: Willmott is asking Samuels about how he conducted the interviews with Arias. He said they were not linear in nature, because he usually began the interviews by asking Arias what was on her mind.
4:41 p.m. ET: He did not record his conversations with Arias, but she did take notes.
4:39 p.m. ET: Samuels met with Arias 12 times over a three year period to extract information out of her.
4:38 p.m. ET: Samuels says he usually works for defense attorneys since living in Arizona. Arias defense team hired Samuels in September 2009.
4:36 p.m. ET: Samuels moved from New Jersey to Arizona in the late 80's. In Arizona, Samuels has only done forensic work.
