Vinny said he wishes there was a third choice. Life in Prison with no chance of parole, AND solitary confinement! A third choice.

I wonder if her lawyers, old or new are learning from these TV shows... telling her WHAT she needed to do. Not good! This new one could be done in 2 weeks, IF they didn't put on such a LONG LONG LONG production. THEY were on forever, the prosecution ... not long at all. The defense had on their clown idiots, and Jodi for 18 days????????? Isn't that unheard of? Usually they don't get on the stand at all.

Hi Joni - seems many lawyers are outraged at Judge Sherry's lack of control with this trial. It was interminable and for the family it must have been unbearable. Your description of the family's heartache and the repercussions of this trial are spot on - emotional, relational and financial!

We can only hope this was for the best in that the second time will be the "charm" to put Jodi away forever.

Remote was the judge running scared? Didn't want a hung jury? At least we WON on the main ones. Murder 1 is heaven to me. Poor Travis. And the second one too, aggravating... and ISN'T SHE!!!

We are getting a small glimpse of what Travis had. You CAN'T GET RID OF THIS PIG for some reason. Now, neither can his family.

Boy she really is whacko... and those flat, empty crossed eyes make me keep seeing the slaughter and what Travis saw. Imagine THEM too, in a wild FRENZI! She did all that in 2 minutes with him fighting back the best he could after being stabbed in the heart, and being a moving target? This poor "wisp" of a creature. Stronger than most men I bet. Did you see those BIG MAN HANDS??

The judge called them in and read them the LWP and LWOP in the instructions. She said she had forgot to read that. Both the defense attorney and Juan addressed the subject to the jury.

Shortly after that the jury had a question about what to do if not unanimous. The judge gave them the dynamite charge and sent them back.

The jury also had that information in the paperwork at the beginning of the trial.

Yes, I read that when she said she forgot to read them, it was actually because the defense had distributed the OLD copies of the explanations. Apparently, Juan Martinez is the one who caught the "mistake."

While I wonder what made some of these "death penalty jurors" change their minds? Did they fall for Jodi's planned contributions to society? Did they actually believe Jodi could start book clubs/spanish tutoring/recycling programs/locks-of-love donations when she went to prison?? Did anyone really believe that Jodi in 4-plus years donated the required 10 inches of hair THREE TIMES??

There was an article by someone that saying you can give the death penalty is very different from actually having to really do it. It's not an easy decision, but did any of the hold-outs really think their position through properly when questioned?

I'm to the point of feeling revulsion when I see Jodi's face. Good one about how like Travis, the family can't get rid of this POS.

With this fiasco, I suppose this means the family can't begin their civil suit against the psycho to stop her from making money? She'll crank out more "art," conduct more interviews and anything else she can think of to bankroll her future prison stay. Argh!!! I'm so ANGRY! :59

Hair grows 1/2" per month.

They don't take bleached hair ... yes? Bleaching is like stripping the bark off a tree, dying is painting it.

How can we tell if Jodi is lying? Her big MOUTH is moving! :57 :98 :95 :neener :59

I just had a chilling thought. Since IT was soooo obsessed with Travis, NO "ARTWORK" of Travis? Bet she did! Her favorite subject!!

Too, I wonder if she didn't have her OWN camera with her. She ALWWAYS took her camera with her, everywhere. (Travis' was found in the washer) I bet she took pictures of the butchered Travis and drew (traced) them. Wonder where they are...

Could the 4 have been the four women? Four sounds like a lot to me, too!

I have had the same thought, too, Joni! How strange that she never drew Travis?

Just remembered something. Whatever became of those new diary pages they found in her cell last month?

Will Jodi get a new defense team now? Will Sherry allow Nurmi and Willmott to step down?

This is a facebook posting from Alternate Juror #17

The State vs Jodi Arias ~ Travis Alexander murder trial · 52,944 like this
about an hour ago ·

Hello all! I was sent to this page thanks to a friend of mine now that I am able to see and hear things! I was juror 17 and later on I was chosen as an alternate. I was so disappointed and upset to hear my number called after all the time and work I put into this trial! Today was a hard day for the jury but it was also a very hard day for me!! To say I am devastated is an understatement! I feel so much pain that I can't even begin to imagine what Travis's family is feeling! Although today's outcome wasn't what I wanted and probably most of you as well, I just ask that you remember we are all human and no matter which juror voted which way, it was a very hard decision for all of them! I want to send my love and prayers to Travis's family and I really hope they get the right outcome next time!!!

I am willing to bet that, if Travis had done that same murder on jodi anal arias,
he would have been off to death row long ago.... :98

I had just got to work today, and the verdict was in. We have big screen TV, tuned into
verdict read, and everyone in the bar, about 16 people watched, and ALL AGREED to DP.
Not just because of the drinks. :98
But, LIFE would have been ok for me.
Now that this has happened, I expect she will get death.
Everyone in the free world has seen every dumb thing she said on tv,
she cannot keep her mouth closed. (oral sex smilie?)

kj nelson version of the verdict reading: :98

"You can't reach a verdict?" I yelled. Everyone flinched.
I snapped sharply. "You can all agree on M1 and cruelty, but not life or death for chrissake?"
"Have any of you seen any of the pictures?" I snarked.
I turn around in complete stupidity, then comprehend.
"OK, well, goodbye then." I shouted sarcastically to the jury.
"OK, jodi," I puked out. "Here is another 2 million dollars and your make-up.
Let's try that again you scarey skank." :51

Where are they going to find 12 jurors who know nothing about this case?

Can they be sure some who say they can aren't doing it for the notoriety?
