Davidson has spent most of his adult life in a state penitentiary, according to records.
He was charged in Jackson with a Sept. 6, 2000, carjacking and aggravated robbery. He was sentenced to eight years in prison.
Davidson was released Aug. 5, 2006, from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary.
