That silly story popped up on twitter.. i happened to discussit with a lady who is a current serving officer.. she was not amused.. to say the least.

I hardly think that one, slowly applied, but very skillfully aimed "golf ball" will do the trick and stop perps. They often keep advancing after many REAL bullets have hit them.

Why dont cops just carry a set of Golf clubs?

Wouldn't take long to place a plastic Tee and select a 9-iron

Obama would love it for sure.

Ferguson Police Chief responds to report that DOJ is wrapping investigation
Posted 5:47 pm, February 19, 2015, by Joe Millitzer

ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) –
The Ferguson Police Chief is responding to leaks about possible action from the Justice Department. CNN reported Wednesday night that the feds would file a lawsuit if the Ferguson police department didn’t make some big changes.

Ferguson Police Chief Tom Jackson says he hasn’t been told that the Justice Department investigation is wrapping up now. He said as recently as Saturday the DOJ was still requesting documents from his police department.

CNN is reporting that the Justice Department is preparing legal action against the Ferguson Police Department if it does not make some changes on its own concerning tactics that discriminate against minorities. This comes after a federal investigation into the shooting death of Michael Brown and a broader look at the police department as a whole.

Who Ever Said, Black Lives DON'T Matter?
The #BlackLivesMatter "Movement" Has No Leadership, Little Direction & Zero Legitimate Support. Outsider's Continue To Pillage #Ferguson
By Roger Sherwood (Open Post) February 19, 2015 at 2:32pm

I can’t recall ever meeting someone who didn’t subscribe to the notion that “all lives matter.” I’m also fairly certain that most who saw the Eric Garner arrest video wish the outcome differed. I guarantee that cop does. We wouldn’t know either of their names today if Garner had lived.

On the other hand, few were surprised by the deaths of Mike Brown, Antonio Martin, Jerame Reid and countless other lawbreakers who died while unnecessarily putting the lives of others at risk. Had they not, they too would be nameless to us. The fact they they were black is purely coincidence.

I have little sympathy for murderers, rapists, gun-yielding thugs or law breakers of any color. Even less for suspects who can’t obey the simple commands that most two year old golden retrievers can like “sit” and “don’t move.”

Tamir Rice’s death was unfortunate. But, can we not legitimately question why a kid was at the park carrying a VERY real looking gun in one of the most crime-ridden neighborhoods in America? Albeit not entirely culpable, the obvious lack of parental guidance is undeniable.

#BlackLivesMatter would prefer you focus solely on these individual’s skin color and not mention the fact that cops shoot white people too. That messes up their one-sided narrative.

Protesters removed for interrupting McCulloch's speech at SLU law school symposium
By Jennifer Mann

ST. LOUIS • Protesters tried in vain to halt his speech, but St. Louis County Prosecutor Robert McCulloch kept talking at a St. Louis University law school symposium Friday morning, even joking at one point when a protester got his name wrong.

McCulloch spoke at the St. Louis University law school symposium titled "The Thin Blue Line: Policing Post-Ferguson" about 9 a.m. After about 15 minutes of interruptions, the SLU president asked the protesters to leave, and campus security officers escorted some of the protesters out of the room.

The wags on Twitter have managed to get a NEW WORD listed at "the Urban Dictionary"

Quote:
Fergusoned
Abandoning someone who blindly supports you when they are no longer useful or convenient.

While looking at "The Urban Dictionary" I found another definition...

Quote:
ferguson
An Australian term for a woman's genitals that looks extremely unappealing.

"I was watching a cheap porno the other day and this chick had the biggest ferguson! She hadn't shaved it and the lips were all black! It was disgusting!"

by Pierre D January 13, 2006

And an example to show meaning in context:

"Stackz straddled her computer screen with legs akimbo, thus exposing her Ferguson"

STRONG FAMILIES ARE LEFT GRASPING FOR ANSWERS; 3 YOUNG MEN ACCUSED IN A CLAYTON HOME INVASION HAD NO CRIMINAL PAST.(METRO)(REACTION\ JAMEEL SPANN\ SIR PETER ERNEST\ RAYMOND HARDGE\ HOME INVASION SUSPECTS)
Article from: St Louis Post-Dispatch (MO) | November 23, 2003 | Harris, Ron |

Maybe no one will ever really know the answer to why, at least not until the three young men come to trial -- and maybe not even then.

Still, some months from now, their parents, friends, a judge, the prosecuting attorney and the victims will gather in a courtroom of the St. Louis County Circuit Court in Clayton to hear them and their attorneys explain the events of Sept. 29.

But even then they probably will not understand why college students with bright futures, who had no criminal history or affiliation and who had the support of strong, nurturing families would allegedly kidnap and rob in broad daylight a wealthy Clayton woman and set off a chain of events that now threatens to devastate their lives and melt away their families' hard work.

When Clayton police first arrested the trio as they were trying to leave the three-story estate on a private street that is home to some of the area's wealthiest residents, they originally suspected they might have captured a group of gang members.

Anonymous Investigates Its Own Rogue Agent
by Alex Freeman • February 26, 2015

Ferguson, MO (TFC) – An Anonymous video has surfaced from the United Kingdom outing one of their members for, essentially, defrauding other members of Anonymous for personal gain.

Alex Poucher, a self-professed organizer of the Million Mask March held each November 5th in Washington, DC, has been operating multiple GoFundMe accounts since last fall under the pretense of funding his travels to DC and Ferguson for participation in street level direct actions as well as paying for legal fees incurred through arrests at these protests.

The video claims Poucher instead used the money for personal use, and according to FreeAnons and National Lawyers Guild no legal bills are necessary for many Anons and any protester arrested in relation to Michael Brown protests. For weeks, Poucher has been reaching out to activist groups and news outlets for support. This has drawn significant attention from other members of Anonymous, who have denounced Poucher’s cult of personality style.

The Anonymous video below also bears a message to corporations and police departments that it is, in fact, possible to investigate one of your own and hold them accountable for their actions.

Anonymous: Message To Alex Poucher

Quote:
FreeAnons stated:
“FreeAnons believes that activism is crucial to change no matter what form it takes. Our ultimate goal is to be able to assist all arrested Anons and ensure they have effective legal counsel and support to fight their charges. As with any support organization, there are times when we find ourselves having to refrain from support for one reason or another. FreeAnons believes strongly in solidarity and camaraderie with co-defendants. It’s a “one for all and all for one” world we live in when it comes to arrest. In December, 2014, 5 members of Anonymous were arrested in Ferguson, Mo following a protest at Walmart. They appeared in court for an arraignment today and were charged with Failure to Disperse and Unlawful Assembly. All have court dates pending so no date has been provided at the time of this writing. With this in mind, we feel a need to mention one defendant involved in this action. Alex Poucher came to FreeAnons requesting support. A small review of Alex’s past raised some concerns with members of FreeAnons and we felt it was best if we awaited his court case today to determine how best we are able to provide support. Alex’s claim has always been that he faces up to 3 years in prison for his actions in Ferguson. Since there were 4 other individuals in the car at the time of arrest our interest was in all 4 defendants and whether all were facing equal jail time. Before we were actually able to agree to help Alex, we began to see art bearing the FreeAnons logo which was being used to raise funds for what Alex described as legal fees ($3,000 dollars per misdemeanor charge to total $12,000.00). After further review of Alex’s own Facebook page, he explains that these funds are being used for food, gas etc but legal fees were not mentioned. At this time, FreeAnons has not supported the fundraising efforts of Mr. Poucher simply due to the fact that this individual seems to have lost sight of solidarity and has spent more time concerned about himself and his own needs. This is in direct conflict with our beliefs and for this reason, FreeAnons must stand down. To all of the defendants involved in this case; If you require assistance locating legal services, we are honored to provide this type of help but we are not able to promote any fundraising projects.”

Darren Wilson Is Cleared of Rights Violations in Ferguson Shooting
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/05/us/darren-wilson-is-cleared-of-rights-violations-in-ferguson-shooting.html

The decision, which was announced on Wednesday, ends a lengthy investigation into the shooting last August, in which Officer Darren Wilson shot and killed Mr. Brown in the street. Many witnesses said Mr. Brown had his hands up in surrender when he died, leading to nationwide protest chants of “Hands up, don’t shoot.”

But federal agents and civil rights prosecutors rejected that story, just as a state grand jury did in November. The Justice Department said forensic evidence and other witnesses backed up the account of Officer Wilson, who said Mr. Brown fought with him, reached for his gun, then charged at him. He told investigators that he feared for his life.

“There is no evidence upon which prosecutors can rely to disprove Wilson’s stated subjective belief that he feared for his safety,” the report said.

Officer Darren Wilson Will NOT Face Federal Civil Rights Charges – Full Ferguson DOJ Finding Report Included (pdf)
Posted on March 4, 2015 by sundance

Following the shooting death of Mike Brown in Ferguson Missouri the federal DOJ launched an investigation into Officer Darren Wilson and the Ferguson Police Department. Officer Wilson was cleared by a Saint Louis Grand Jury of any wrongdoing.

[…] DOJ found that Wilson’s use of deadly force against Brown could not be proven to be considered “objectively unreasonable,” and that federal charges were not appropriate.

“There is no evidence upon which prosecutors can rely to disprove Wilson’s stated subjective belief that he feared for his safety,” states a DOJ report on the decision.

Today, after telling the family of Mike Brown that Officer Wilson will not face any DOJ charges the DOJ released a report of their investigative findings.
